Customers Witness Touching Act of Kindness at Kentucky Chick-fil-A
A touching act of kindness was recently documented at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
According to OneNewsNow.com, a 13-year-old girl was at the restaurant with her family when the incident occurred. She took a photo of the touching scene and told the local news station about it.
A man walked into the Chick-fil-A wearing a pair of shoes that were falling apart and were only held together by duct tape.
“The needy gentleman had walked into the Chick-fil-A in Bowling Green in a pair of beat-up shoes …” Fox News reported. “Noticing this — and seeing that the man was about to go back out into the cold — an anonymous customer stopped the man in his tracks and offered up his own footwear.”
“He was about to go back out the door, and the guy just looked at him in the eyes, and he took off his boots and handed them to him,” explained Hallie Cassidy, the young girl who documented the scene. “You could tell it made the other guy’s day – and it made my day.”
The act of kindness deeply impacted Cassidy. “I told dad, ‘We gotta share this,’” she says. “This is an amazing story to let people know, and it’s sorta going a little viral here in Bowling Green.”
“Just as Hallie was inspired, she’s hoping that getting the word out about this story will inspire us of all – not only during the Christmas season, but year-round,” added Kelly Dean, a local reporter for Bowling Green station WBKO.
