Conservative Christian Singer Joy Villa Wears Pro-life Dress to Grammy Awards
Conservative Christian singer Joy Villa made a bold statement at last evening’s Grammy Awards by wearing a dress with a pro-life message.
Villa’s dress was white and featured a painting of an unborn child in a womb that was painted all the colors of the rainbow. She also carried a handbag that said “Choose Life.”
According to LifeNews.com, the painting on Villa’s dress was modeled after her own daughter.
“I’m a pro-life woman. This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do,” Villa told Fox News. “I’m all about life.”
“I’m incredibly blessed to have given life, and I hope to encourage anyone in a similar situation to choose adoption,” she continued.
“I believe in loving the child and the mother, and I am proudly #ProLife. There is so much pain out there, but I choose to spread love and hope. I hand painted my @pronovias gown with a hand painted (by me) recreation of my daughter portrait I painted in 2007 at 20 years old 8 months pregnant with my beautiful daughter, whom I adopted out to a wonderful family.”
Villa was in an abusive relationship when she found out she was pregnant, but although she was scared and overwhelmed, she chose life for her daughter.
Last year, Villa wore a red, white, and blue dress with the words “Make America great again” printed down the front.
