Report: Homosexual Serial Killer, Suspected of Killing at Least Five Men, Had Man Tied Up During Arrest

TORONTO — A suspected serial killer from Canada who was arrested last month and charged with the first-degree murder of five men with whom he had a sexual relationship allegedly had another man tied up at the time of his arrest, reports state.

Bruce McArthur, 66, of Toronto is accused of killing the men and hiding their remains in planters at various homes throughout the city where he did landscaping work. Police have found bones and body parts in the bottom of 12 planters so far as they are checking more than 30 properties for buried remains.

“There’s at least the remains of three people among those body parts,” Detective Sgt. Hank Idsinga outlined during a press conference on Monday.

McArthur was arrested on Jan. 18 in connection with two men—Selim Esen, 44, and Andrew Kinsman, 49—who went missing from the “Gay Village” section of the city in April and June. He has since been leveled with murder charges for three more men—Majeed Kayhan, 58, Soroush Mahmudi, 50, and Dean Lisowick, 47—two of whom have been missing for several years.

“We do believe there are more and I have no idea how many more there are going to be,” Idsinga said. “The City of Toronto has never seen anything like this.”

According to the Toronto Sun, investigators also found photographs of McArthur’s victims on his computer, which helped to identify them. It has additionally been reported that police found a man in restraints at McArthur’s apartment at the time of his arrest. The man as believed to have been at the location to have a sexual encounter with McArthur.

TIME and Heavy report that McArthur utilized homosexual dating apps, including one that describes itself as “a meeting place for mature men and other men (both daddies and younger), who are interested in keeping their daddy happy and/or sexually satisfied.” McArthur’s profile noted that he was interested in men 25-55, and stated in part, “so many nice looking guys out there, but so far away.”

Joseph Khaiata, who works at the Black Eagle Bar, told the Toronto Star that he was surprised that McArthur is suspected of the crimes.

“He was just a typical Joe person; that’s what shocked me when I saw the picture,” he said. “When you picture somebody doing something like that, that’s not what I would have pictured. I thought it was going to be a homophobe redneck from somewhere.”

Some had expressed fear after Esen and Kinsman were reported missing last year.

“The community, especially in the village, were very, very nervous, and rightly so. Two gay men went missing and the circumstances around their disappearances were very suspect and so people were speculating about what had happened to these two guys,” Helen Kennedy of the homosexual advocacy group Egale told the National Post.

McArthur’s next hearing is scheduled for Feb. 14. The Toronto Police Service is asking that anyone with information on the case contact them at 416-222-TIPS.

Jesus taught in Mark 7:20 that evil begins in the heart, as man’s nature without regeneration is inherently wicked.

“[F]rom within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride [and] foolishness,” He said. “All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
