Shooting at Central Michigan University Leaves 2 Dead
Two people are dead after a gunman opened fire at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. According to reports, the gunman is still at large.
CNN.com reports that the shooter opened fire at Campbell Hall dormitory on the college’s campus.
Those in the vicinity are being urged by authorities “to take shelter” as the shooter is still being tracked down by law enforcement. He is described as a 19-year-old black male wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt.
Those killed are not thought to be students, and at this time it is reported that the shooting occurred after a domestic dispute.
According to a tweet from Central Michigan University:
CMU police confirm two individuals were fatally shot at Campbell Hall on campus this morning. The deceased are not students and police believe the situation started from a domestic situation. There are no additional injuries; suspect is still at large: https://t.co/AxvPn3N0s0

The City of Mount Pleasant also tweeted, instructing people not to approach the suspect if they see him:
UPDATE 10:23 a.m.: The suspect is a 19-year-old black male who is approx. 5 foot 9 inches tall. He is wearing mustard yellow jeans and a blue hoodie. He may have taken off the blue hoodie. He is considered armed & dangerous. If you see the suspect, do not approach him. Call 911.

This shooting happened just over two weeks after the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
