Man Stabs His Mother Four Times In The Back And Then Bludgeons Her Skull With A Fireplace Poker
Police arrested a man for the murder of his mother. He stabbed her four times in the back before bludgeoning her skull with a fireplace poker. He initially claimed that “neo-Nazis” did it but later confessed to the murder:
A Milaca man is charged with two counts of second-degree murder after his mother was found dead Sunday in the Milaca home they shared.
Police were dispatched to the home on the 5800 block of 185th Street where they found Ariel Suzette Pedersen was bludgeoned; the medical examiner confirmed she suffered four stab wounds to the back and four impact fractures to the skull, according to court documents.
The call came in as a possible stabbing, and en route to the scene, police learned Pedersen’s son was was at a neighbor’s residence from which the 911 call was placed, the criminal complaint states.
Isaiah Alan Pedersen, her son, initially told police four or five neo-Nazis stabbed his mother and then ran into woods, court records state.
Police picked Pedersen up first, then arrived at the house to find his mother unconscious. They observed blood-like substances in several areas of the home, the criminal complaint details.
Investigators noted Pedersen was carrying a BB gun and knife, which he said were for protection, and according to the criminal complaint, they also noticed an apparent blood stain on his shirt.
Authorities say Pedersen changed his story several times, then “eventually admitted to causing the death of his mother,” the complaint states. He claimed it was “self-defense” and told investigators he stabbed her and hit her with an object from the fireplace during an argument.
In sweeping the residence, investigators found a metal fire poker and bent knife that appeared to have DNA fragments on them, according to the criminal complaint.
Pederson is charged with second-degree murder with intent, not premeditated and second-degree murder without intent. (source)
