Annapolis, MD: Multiple Fatalities Reported in Shooting at Capital Gazette Newspaper Office

Several people have reportedly been injured in a shooting at the Capital Gazette Newspaper building in Annapolis, Maryland.
Details are still emerging regarding the incident, and it is unclear if any of those who were shot were fatally injured, although a reporter at the Gazette has tweeted:
A single shooter shot multiple people at my office, some of whom are dead.

Fox News has reported, however, that a suspect has been taken into custody.
On Twitter, someone said that the shooting occurred in a newsroom of the Capital Gazette.

The shooting reportedly took place around 2:30 p.m. EST. Authorities have said that the building has been evacuated. They are now reportedly combing the building to ensure there are no remaining threats.
Anne Arundel County police tweeted an update at 3:31 p.m. EST:
#update confirming active shooter at 888 Bestgate Road in Annapolis. Building evacuated. Officers continuing to search building. Relocation point is inside Lord and Taylor in the mall.

President Trump and White House officials have been briefed on the situation. White House Deputy Press Secretary Lindsay Walters said “our thoughts and prayers are with all that are affected.”
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has also responded to the tragedy, tweeting:
Absolutely devastated to learn of this tragedy in Annapolis. I am in contact with County Executive Steve Schuh, and @MDSP is on the scene assisting @AACOPD. Please, heed all warnings and stay away from the area. Praying for those at the scene and for our community. https://t.co/bI6PdUjHfh
