The German Government Wants To Add Nuclear Bombs To Its Air Force Fighter Jets

By Theodore Shoebat

The German government wants to add nuclear weapons to its air force jet fighters. As we read in a report from Business Insider:

Germany is pressing Washington to clarify whether it would let the Eurofighter Typhoon carry nuclear bombs as part of shared Western defenses, an issue that could help decide whether Berlin orders more of the jets, sources familiar with the matter said.

Although not a nuclear power, Germany hosts some US nuclear warheads under NATO’s nuclear-sharing policy and operates a number of Tornado warplanes that can deliver them.

New jets will need to be certified by Washington to carry out nuclear missions, a process which can take years.

Germany’s defense ministry sent a letter to the US Defense Department in April asking whether certification of the European jets was possible, how much it would cost, and how long it would take, the sources told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

Top US Air Force and Pentagon officials are working to respond to the German query, the sources said.

The multi-billion-euro tender to replace Germany’s fleet of 89 Tornados, which are due to retire in the middle of the next decade, pits the Typhoon against several US contenders at a time of strains in transatlantic ties.

Executives with Airbus, Lockheed Martin and Boeing are making presentations to the defense ministry this week after submitting reams of information on their respective warplanes in April, with the formal launch of the competition expected later this year, industry sources said.

Germany wants to go nuclear, and all of these big defense corporations want in the money from selling their technology, not caring who would die because of their actions. Blood for profit. People in Congress are working to stop Turkey from getting F-35s. But Lockheed Martin is still insistent on giving fighter jets to Turkey, who would only use them to bomb villages in Syria and Iraq and to take more territory. And James Mattis does not want to preclude Lockheed Martin from giving any more F-35s. As we read from one report from AIN Online:

A delivery ceremony for Turkey’s first F-35A stealth fighter went ahead at Fort Worth yesterday, despite Congressional action that could prevent the aircraft leaving the U.S. The Senate version of the Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) refers to deteriorating relations with Turkey in general and the nation’s planned acquisition of the Russian S-400 SAM system in particular. The F-35 that was unveiled is one of two that is scheduled to fly to Luke AFB later this month, where Turkish air force pilots and maintainers will train on them for the next 16 months.

Although the Pentagon has made clear its opposition to Turkey’s S-400 deal, CNN reported that Secretary of Defense James Mattis is opposed to the Senate action, and is trying to prevent the language from appearing in the final NDAA.

And who does Germany plan on nuking? Poland? Russia? Are they preparing to start from where they left off in the Second World War? You can sit there and say that Germany is no threat. But if somebody had a record of shooting people, would you not at least wonder why they would want a gun? Germany is a country with a history of conquest, imperialism and genocide. That the German are wanting jet fighters with nuclear capabilities, should at least lead us to some concern.

The Germans do want to go nuclear, and the US government knows this.

While there is constant yammer coming from the masses that Japan will not return to the warpath because it is somehow militarily inept, or overly dependent on the US, the reality is that Japan would not have difficulty in becoming a very dangerous force (the naive do not understand that Japan already has an efficient military force). In fact, the US government knows that Japan and Germany have the ability to make nuclear weapons, not in a matter of years, but  months. The US also knows very well that these countries will begin to show interest in producing nuclear weapons if they start to ‘lose trust’ in the United States. This issue was made known in a report addressed to the Committee on Foreign Relations of the United States Senate in 2008, entitled: Chain Reaction: Avoiding a Nuclear Arms Race in the Middle East, in which it says:

“In the cases of Germany and Japan, both countries can easily obtain nuclear weapons but have chosen not to because of their integration beneath a NATO (Germany) or an American (Japan) security umbrella. Today, all of these countries have the technical capacity to obtain nuclear weapons in a matter of months or a few short years. Yet, they chose not to because of their respective cost-benefit analyses. Pursuing nuclear weapons demands a large amount of finite money and other resources and could invite punishing international political pressure and economic sanctions. At the same time, little need exists to pursue such an undesirable policy because these countries do not view nuclear weapons as necessary for their national security. This belief derives primarily from the fact that these countries rest comfortably beneath a U.S. or U.S.-led security umbrella. If these countries ever begin to question the reliability of this security umbrella, they would almost certainly reassess past nuclear weapons decisions.”

This statement from the 2008 document proves that the United States knows that if Germany and Japan begin to show distrust for the United States to provide security, they will begin having interests in acquiring nuclear weapons. Trump, before he was even elected, was showing that he would not mind Japan having a nuclear arsenal, when he said:

“Would I rather have North Korea have [nuclear weapons] with Japan sitting there having them also? You may very well be better off if that’s the case. … If they’re attacked… we have to come totally to their defense. And that is a — that’s a real problem.”

Trump showed that he does not want the US to come to Japan’s defense. What did this do? It gave Japan more of a sign that they can further pursue military independence.

If anything is enabling the Germans to intensifying the boosting of their military, its the push to ‘pay their fair share’ to defense, and also the increase in Islamic terrorism. In the midst of all of the emotions that are coming about from Islamic jihadism, the rhetoric from the US about how the Germans should increase their defense is exactly what the Germans want because it gives them the green light to intensify their military capacity.

Roderich Kiesewetter, a member of the German parliament for the Protestant Christian Democrats — the same party of Angela Merkel — wrote an article for the Right-wing publication, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, stating that now is the time to contemplate “the altogether unthinkable for a German brain, the question of a nuclear deterrence capability, which could make up for doubts about American guarantees”.

With major German officials expressing distrust for the United States, and interest in creating nuclear weapons, and in the wake of the most prestigious scientific establishment in Germany, the Max Planck Institute, creating the nuclear fusion reactor, the Wendelstein 7-X stellarator

Just last month, the Norwegian general and Secretary General for NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, said that he agrees with Trump that Germany must pay more for its defense, with one report from the Bundeswehr Journal stating:

Brussels / Hamburg. In the dispute between the US and Germany over the level of defense spending, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expresses his understanding of the position of US President Donald Trump. In an interview with the Hamburg weekly magazine stern , he now said: “I encourage Germany to do more.” It is not about doing the US and its president a favor. “We now have to spend more on our defense because it’s in our own interest. We need credible deterrence. “

Notice what he says: its not to do the US in favor. Rather, it is taking advantage the US is giving to the Germans to boost their military. The Germans want to bring their reich back.
