Guardians of the Galaxy Cast Responds to Firing of Director; Chris Pratt Quotes Bible Verse
Chris Pratt, along with his Guardians of the Galaxy co-stars took to social media to comment on the firing of James Gunn.
Gunn was dismissed from The Walt Disney Studio earlier this month after controversial jokes he had made in the past resurfaced on the Internet.
He was fired from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 film, which is slated for 2020.
In response to the firing, Pratt posted a bible verse from the book of James on his Twitter page.
“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters. Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.”

Zoe Saldana tweeted: “It’s been a challenging weekend I’m not gonna lie. I’m pausing myself to take everything in before I speak out of term. I just want everyone to know I love ALL members of my GOTG family. Always will.”
Michael Rooker also said he would be leaving his Twitter page because he is “tired and upset over the ongoing bull****.”
After his firing, Gunn said he had made those jokes “decades ago.” The jokes included comments on rape, pedophilia and September 11.
“I have regretted them for many years since — not just because they were stupid, not at all funny, wildly insensitive, and certainly not provocative like I had hoped, but also because they don’t reflect the person I am today or have been for some time,” he said in a statement.
Walt Disney Studios has not announced who will replace Gunn.
