The flight from Xiamen, China, aborted one landing after circling Manila for about an hour in the early hours of Friday. It later made a second attempt. Video from inside the fuselage shows the plane approaching the runway at jaw-dropping speed. As it touches the tarmac, the picture is obscured and replaced by a series of loud bangs and the sound of passengers yelping.

One of the plane’s engines detached from the wing after Flight MF8667 skidded off the runway. All of the flight’s 157 passengers and eight crew were safely evacuated. None were injured in the incident.
