A potential stabbing attack was thwarted Monday afternoon and a Palestinian was neutralized by security forces on the scene, the IDF Spokesman said in a statement.
The Palestinian pulled out a knife as he ran toward the Givat Ha’avot checkpoint in the Jewish town of Kiryat Arba, just north of Hebron, and IDF forces responded shooting the attacker dead, the IDF said in a statement.
The attack did not injure anyone or cause any damages.
Videos from the scene showed dozens of IDF soldiers in the area during the immediate aftermath of the stabbing attempt as the Palestinian attempted to stab a soldier, local residents said in one of the videos.
This is a developing story.
