Islamic Terrorists Invade Refugee Camp And Kidnap One Hundred Families

By Theodore Shoebat

Islamic terrorists invaded a refugee camp and kidnapped one hundred families, as we read in one report from Kurdistan 24:

The Islamic State (IS) attacked a refugee camp near the town of al-Bahra on Friday, taking advantage of a dust storm to kidnap several civilians.

“Once again, the terrorist organization [revealed] its anti-human face to target the camp for the displaced people, which is adjacent to al-Bahra town, east of Deir al-Zor,” the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said in a statement.

The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR) reported that IS militants took 100 families.

The extremists took advantage of the poor weather conditions to infiltrate the Hajin camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) adjacent to Al Bahra town, the SDF said.

“In parallel with moving their dormant cells inside the camp, they targeted the civilians directly, while SDF confronted and engaged with them to protect the displaced from the fires of terrorism,” it added.

According to the SDF, some of their “best fighters” were killed while defending the civilians, killing over 20 IS militants, but a group of civilians was kidnapped, “and [IS] took them into the areas controlled by the terrorist organization.”

It is unclear if any civilians were killed or injured. It is also possible that IS could even kill or punish the kidnapped civilians.
