‘Ordained Minister of Spiritual Consciousness’ Claims Christians Can Also Be Witches

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A woman who says that she is an “ordained minister of spiritual consciousness,” a seer, and a “Christian witch” recently recorded a rant video explaining why she believes it is wrong for people to tell her she can’t both be a witch and identify as a Christian. A number of viewers have responded on her post and elsewhere stating that she is deceived and in need of prayer.

“Stop thinking you can tell people how to worship. Stop thinking you can tell people how to connect with the divine. If I could tell you how many people have told me, ‘You can’t be a Christian witch,’ but here I am,” Valerie Love, who also goes by the name Kaisi, stated in a Sept. 28 video. “That’s between me and God.”

“I was born a witch, and guess what? I love it and I’m so thankful, and people are still afraid. Why? Because of ignorance. And I’m here as a minister of the living God to dispel fear and ignorance,” she claimed. “Stop telling people you can’t be Christo-Pagan.”

Love recently launched the “Covenant of Christian Witches Mystery School” in Salem, Massachusetts, which is also known as “The Witch City,” and noted in the video that she has signed her first contract. She also explained that she was going to have a seance for her birthday while in Salem.

According to the school website, the traveling endeavor—which she plans to take around the world—exists to “experience and express bliss as witches, wizards and mages of all ages; to inspire, teach, share wisdom, and support magickal beings in owning and embracing magick, practicing magick and utilizing magick as a path to self-realization (also known as The Great Work/Alchemy of the Soul).”

Love also operates The Enlightenment Circle as a means for those involved in witchcraft to connect with each other.

“We are spiritual gangstas creating a knock-your-socks-off bliss reality on planet Earth, while being loving and rich. We do the hard stuff that is ours to do,” a page about the circle reads. “We do not ‘catch feelings’, get easily insulted, or get mad when someone says something we don’t like. We’re grown [expletive] folks creating grown [expletive] lives.”

Love was formerly involved with the Jehovah’s Witnesses for 26 years, being introduced at age 4 through her parents and leaving at age 30.

“Since then, I’ve be on a soul mission to uncover and and reveal our divinity and inspire to freedom,” she says. “So I intentionally and consciously choose to dispel fear and ignorance so that we all ascend to a life of total and complete freedom: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. Free from the shackles of religion, society, ‘authority’ figures, media and any other man made construct whose ideologies offend your soul.”

Love said in her recent video that she doesn’t believe people should tell others how to connect with God as she feels that everyone should have the freedom to pursue their own way.

“There’s seven and a half billion people on the planet. That means seven and a half billion ways to connect with God,” she claimed. “If you connect with God through seashells, beautiful. If you connect with God through the trees, beautiful. If you’re not connected with God at all and you say, ‘I’m an atheist,’ beautiful. Whatever works for you, work it. That’s your very own personal choice.”

She asserted that her job is to set people free from “religious bondage” because religion has told people what to think and how to live.

During the video, Love also referred to God as the “divine mother-father God” and stated that “you can have Christ and your crystals.” She said that the world is “evolving beyond the old paradigms of religion.”

“Christ ain’t never told me that I couldn’t hang out with Him because I was a witch,” she contended. “Much to the contrary. But I think people are confused.”

However, a number of viewers have left comments under Love’s video and elsewhere opining that she is the one who is confused and that she is deceived in believing that God takes no issue with the practice of witchcraft.

“Seeing that you came out of a cult, that is, a non-Christian organization that denies orthodox Christian teaching and which teaches its adherents not to think but to just believe what they teach, it is not surprising that you would turn further into deception,” one commenter wrote.

“You are leading others down the wrong path. The Bible clearly states that sorcery is an abomination,” another stated. “You need to turn away from this evil. Read Scripture and ask God to open your eyes and ears to the truth. What you are teaching now is not the truth. You are full of wickedness and you are deceiving many.”

“Praying for your deliverance. You are beautifully and wonderfully made by God. Witchcraft is not of God,” a third remarked.

Deuteronomy 18:10-13 says, “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.”

In Acts 19, the Bible also chronicles that those in Ephesus who were involved in witchcraft repented of their deeds, as “[m]any of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men … So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.”
