Man Admits to Lying About Being Veteran to Get Acting Roles, Says He Sawed Off Own Arm Due to Mental Illness
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KOB4 News) – A local actor is trying to right a wrong after years of pretending to be a wounded veteran in the hopes of landing roles.
“The film industry obviously took a different angle—that I was different. And so, they liked that,” said Todd Latourette.
The actor says he is bipolar and wasn’t taking his medications 17 years ago when he decided to cut off and cauterize his own arm.
