False Prophet Who Said That Trump Was Chosen By God Predicted There Would Be A “Red Tsunami” And Was Proven Wrong
It is normal for people to be passionate about political parties, and it is true that God is real and does work through political leaders at times as is repeatedly noted in Sacred Scripture. However, one must not confuse the temporal struggle for power and general politics with religious piety or decree, for the true Kingdom of Heaven is not of this Earth as Jesus warned in Sacred Scripture:
Jesus answered, “My kingdom does not belong to this world. If my kingdom did belong to this world, my attendants [would] be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not here.”
So Pilate said to him, “Then you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say I am a king.* For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.” (John 18:36-37)
However, it is far too common that individuals will project their particular desires about politics into religious beliefs. What is even worse is when individuals claim to have a special insight, such as claims of being a “prophet”, and will make a particular statement because it earns them money from the current hysteria of the masses, and then after when they are proven wrong, those who followed them are angry.
Such an example of a false prophecy was with Mark Taylor, the author of the book The Trump Prophecies, who not only claimed that President Trump has a special commission from God, but that he said this election would have a “red tsunami” of Republican victory in Congress over the Democrats:
You’ve heard talk about a “Blue Wave” during the midterm elections. Then there’s been talk about a “Blue Blip.” Now there’s discussion about a “Red Tsunami.”
CBN News spoke with Mark Taylor, author of the popular book The Trump Prophecies, about the prophetic outlook surrounding these elections.
“Go back to 2016 to the presidential election – all the fake news, the pundits, the polls were all wrong as we found out,” Taylor said. “It was just the exact opposite of what they were saying. So the same thing’s going to happen here.”
“There will be no ‘Blue Wave.’ A lot of people are talking about a ‘Red Wave,’ but it’s actually going to be a ‘Red Tsunami’ is what the Lord is showing me,” he continued.
“Because you’re seeing things right now; you’re seeing the resignations; you’re seeing the highest amount of resignations ever,” Taylor said. “You’re seeing people resign; people like Paul Ryan are saying they’re not running again.”
“So you’re gonna see this ‘Red Tsunami’ really take effect all the way across the country at state, local and federal levels,” he continued.
Meanwhile, CBN News “Faith Nation” host Jenna Browder reports this election has been covered in prayer, including a final prayer between evangelical leaders and President Trump last night.
On the website of the ministry, Destiny Encounters International, co-founder and president Prophet Charlie Shamp shared a prophecy entitled, “I saw a Tsunami hit the United States.” It lines up with the message Taylor shared.
In the prophecy, Shamp states:
“I again looked and saw a massive red tsunami wave coming to America. Suddenly, it crashed against the shores and covered the nation. I thought, ‘No. Does this mean a disaster will come?’ I heard the Lord say, ‘I will come to America with another wave of revival. This will be the third wave and will crash against the shores so intensely that the nation will awaken to righteousness again. I will cover this nation with my blood; cities will experience the salvation of my hand. I will empower my church to preach the message of the Cross and multitudes will run to altars on street corners and stadiums as I cover the nation with the blood of my Son from sea to shining sea.”
“The Lord spoke to me again, ‘As a sure sign of these things coming to pass there will be a wave of conservatives elected during the midterm election in November 2018; it will be breaking news. They will carry the House and the Senate, and I will uproot, replant and rebuild the nation. I will tie the three branches of government together, for a person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. I will no longer allow your president to stand on his own. Even now I have called others to come along side and help bring the nation back from the dead, and they will take their seats in the coming days.’”
In an interview with Greg Hunter on USA Watchdog, Taylor said he believes these are the most important midterm elections in American History.
“All the corruption’s gonna get cleaned up… it doesn’t matter if it’s in the political realm or the evangelical realm, if it’s corrupt, God’s gonna expose it, and he’s gonna take it down, which is exactly what’s happening,” he explained.
“So we’re seeing all this lined up right now, and the president himself needs that help in Congress right now all across the United States in order to assist him in cleaning up this corruption that God’s gonna clean house on,” Taylor said.
Prayer intercessor Mary Colbert has been hosting The National Prayer movement leading up to the midterms.
With people praying in every state, she told CBN News that she believes the midterm elections are going to be as big of an upset as 2016.
“God’s about to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think,” Colbert said. “This is going to be a ‘Red Tsunami.’ The people are energized; the people are excited.”
“And it’s because they want to do their part – not just for this country but as a voice representing the Holy Spirit in the earth right now. It’s gonna be huge – huge!” she exclaimed. (source, source)
Obviously this was not true, and his prophecy was shown to be false.
The Bible warns consistently about false prophets and the danger they pose. This is one of many examples of such behavior.
Prophecy is real, and must be taken seriously. However, false prophets- the metaphysical equivalent to a “scammer” in financial terms -are very common and pose a threat to the health of the individual soul.
Much of the desire for “prophecy” and insight in to the future seems to have it origins not in a healthy desire to know what is true, but to give justification to one’s opinions about a particular matter, to provide legitimacy for another series of actions against a party one does not like, or as a form of consolation acting as escapism from the real problems of daily life, many of which are self-inflicted.
This is a modified “Chick” cartoon, referencing criticism of the LGBT. It is humorous, but the essence is true because most people do not want the truth because the truth is painful. Speaking just for myself, I often times do not like hearing the truth because it means acknowledging a difficult reality. However, I am not going to hide myself from it because while it may hurt, it does not change the truthfulness of the matter. Rather, one needs to do what should always happen with truth, which is to bring it out for discussion, then to decide what needs to happen, to execute said resolution, and then move on, repeating the process as often as is necessary.
This is another reason why “political prophecies” are so dangerous, because as noted above, they tend to indulge the fantasies of the listener before addressing truth. If they were true, than it is likely that most people would not want to listen to them.
For example, and I emphasize that I do not say this to “brag” at all, but one of the major points that both myself and Ted have raised is the lack of distinction between the left and right, as well as the consistency of all parties in maintaining geopolitical programs such as the anti-Russian plans for war that have been continuing as a constant military operation since the end of World War II and to which the last president to actually stand up to them was Kennedy. We do not speak in order to express a “hatred” or “support” of either political party, but to say is that the closer one looks, the more one must say that neither party actually is going to “help” America because they are both working toward the same end. The fight between Democrats and Republicans is essentially the fight between which group gets to pull the lever to turn on the electricity for the electric chair that you, I, and the rest of the nation has been strapped into through the bonds placed by the hands of those who control the debt, fiat currency, and heavy industry in the USA and around the world.
A man’s actions are known by his deeds. If Trump was appointed by God, and if he is a King David or Cyrus, where is the repentance of David for his adultery, and where is the Prophet Nathaniel to call him out for his history of womanizing and philandering? There is no Nathaniel, but only sycophants who gather around to support his actions and bragging about his behavior. This is just for Trump- it does not even address how the USA embraces the four sins that cry out to heaven for vengeance with an unrepentant sense of entitlement, nor does it discuss the fact that many of these same sins are now enforced by law and and cultural acceptance, thus economically and socially isolating the individuals who choose to oppose them.
In Matthew 23, Jesus tells the Pharisees:
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You cleanse the outside of cup and dish, but inside they are full of plunder and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup, so that the outside also may be clean. (Matthew 23:25-26)
Instead of looking to political parties for salvation, or to world leaders, and while Christians must continue to fight for what is right even in the political system, one must begin with the self because all societies are reflections of the people who make them up.
The reason why America is rotten is not because of the Democrats or the Republicans. It is because of the people- the individuals that make up the society -including you and I.
If one wants to save America, it starts not with “change in Washington,” but change in one’s immediate self and how he relates to those around him.
As far as the false prophets, let them speak into the chaff of the wind that they will become unless they choose to repent.
