Trump Praises Albania For Expelling Iranian Ambassador And ‘Standing Up To Iran’
By Theodore Shoebat
Trump praised the government of Albania for expelling Iran’s ambassador, as we read in a report from Radio Free Europe:
U.S. President Donald Trump has thanked Albania for expelling Iran’s ambassador to Tirana and another diplomat for alleged national security reasons.
Trump thanked Prime Minister Edi Rama in a letter for his “steadfast efforts to stand up to Iran and counter its destabilizing activities and efforts to silence dissidents around the globe,” according to the U.S. Embassy in Tirana.
The diplomatic mission published the letter, dated December 14, on its Twitter page on December 20.
The previous day, Albanian announced it had expelled the two diplomats, saying they were suspected of “involvement in activities that harm the country’s security” and for “violating their diplomatic status.”
Precise reasons for the expulsion were not given.
It was also not clear when the pair were expelled, but an Albanian Foreign Ministry spokesman was quoted as saying that the expulsions followed talks with other countries, including Israel.
Iran blamed Israel and the United States for putting pressure on Albania and said it had respected Albanian laws.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said that Albania has become “an unintentional victim of the United States, Israel, and some terrorist groups,” according to the official IRNA news agency.
Ghasemi said the United States and Israel are working to destroy relations between Iran and European countries, and that Albania should not allow other states to dictate its relations with Tehran.
Trump’s letter said the expulsion “exemplifies our joint efforts to show the Iranian government that its terrorist activities in Europe and around the world will have severe consequences.”
John Bolton also praised Albania for throwing out two Iranian diplomats. As a report from Deutsche Welle says:
Albania expelled Iran’s ambassador and another diplomat on Wednesday citing national security concerns.
Albania’s Foreign Ministry said Tirana had consulted with its international allies on the matter, adding that the two diplomats were expelled for “violating their diplomatic status.”
US national security adviser John Bolton said he supported the decision.
“Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania just expelled the Iranian ambassador, signaling to Iran’s leaders that their support for terrorism will not be tolerated,” Bolton said in a Twitter post. “We stand with PM Rama and the Albanian people as they stand up to Iran’s reckless behavior in Europe and across the globe.”
Bolton was a key player in his president’s decision to withdraw the United States from the 2015 international nuclear deal with Iran.
But there is more that is going on here than just ‘fighting Jihad terror’ and ‘standing up to Iran.’ This also involves backing other terrorists who the US does not deem terrorists, and that is the People’s Mujahideen Of Iran (Mujahedin-e Khalq, or MEK), a terrorist organization and Islamic-Marxist cult that is been responsible for the deaths of thousands. As Deutsche Well continues:
Albania has been at loggerheads with Iran since it took in about 3,000 members of the banned Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (People’s Mujahedin of Iran), known as MEK.
The Paris-based MEK seeks to overthrow Iran’s theocratic government and is widely disliked inside the country, where it is labeled a terrorist organization. The Iranian government blamed the group for stirring up unrest earlier this month.
Formerly listed as a terrorist organization by the European Union and the United States, the MEK has also been accused of carrying out covert operations on behalf of Israel and the United States. Iran has been linked to the assassination of multiple dissidents, mostly Kurds and MEK members, throughout Europe.
Why is Albania a focus here? Albania is the central hub for MEK fighters. Thousands of MEK operatives live in a cult compound in Albania’s capital city, Tirana. The MEK making a central base in Albania is part of American policy. This was admitted by Rudy Giuliani back in July when he made a speech at an official MEK conference in Paris:
“Our people that were stranded in Iraq, yes, we lost hundreds of them. But, we finally delivered them to freedom in Albania, and I thank the government of Albania, I was there this year, its a wonderful place to see, its a great hope for the future of Iran, and believe me, those people are doing great work for us every single day. God bless them!”
Albania is a center for the MEK, so was this move by Albania really about fighting terrorism or about protecting the terrorists that America likes? The State Department released a report on the MEK, stating: “Since 1981 the [MEK] have claimed responsibility for murdering thousands of Iranians they describe as agents of the regime”. The United States, being an enemy of the Iranian regime, is using the MEK as a weapon against the Iranian government. According to the BBC, there is an “unconfirmed report” that links the move by Albania to sack the Iranian ambassador and the two diplomats to “threats to exiled Iranian group Mujahideen-e Khalq (MEK), which backs the overthrow of the Islamic republic.”
Albania has expelled Iran’s ambassador and another diplomat for “damaging its national security.”
Worth nothing that Albania houses the MEK, an Iranian cult seeking regime change in Tehran. https://t.co/KAcltD3YvD

According to an anonymous source that spoke with Tirana Echo, Iran’s embassy was really coordinating some sort of an assassination of one or more MEK leaders in Albania:
There is no confirmation yet from Albania’s Foreign Ministry, but an undisclosed source told Tirana Echo, Iran’s Embassy had been actively engaged at planning a terrorist attack to murder one or more leading figures of Iran’s resistance Mojahedin movement (MEK) whose followers have been allowed to settle in Albania after their lives were put in danger in camps Ashraf and Liberty in Iraq.
So really this move had nothing to do with stopping terrorism, but everything to do with protecting the People’s Mujahideen of Iran (MEK).
In November of 2018, Denmark did something similar to Albania’s move and accused Iranian intelligence for planning an assassination of an exiled leader of the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (ASMLA) in Denmark. Ahvaz is the capital city of Khuzestan, a province of Iran. The region in inhabited by Iranian Arabs who hate the Iranian regime and want to secede and make their own state. The US has a huge focus on Khuzestan not because it cares about the cause of Arab separatists, but because that region holds Iran’s main source of oil.
So, if the Arab separatists in Khuzestan succeed in their mission to separate from Iran, they will cut off Iran from its biggest oil source and bring economic instability, enough to bring forth a revolution. The United States government sees Khuzestan as the joint of Iran’s economic anatomy that needs to be broken in order to cripple the whole body. There is a CIA document that calls Khuzestan “Iran’s Achilles Tendon”.
What they are doing to Iran today, they did to Iraq. Before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the country was crippled by UN sanctions, and weapons inspections by the UN on Iraq had neutralized Saddam’s nuclear program and forced him to destroy his biological and chemical weapons stockpiles. But this was not enough for the lobby for war. For example, Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister of Israel, said in early September 2002: “Saddam Hussein’s nuclear-weapons program provides the urgent need for his removal.” But the frenzy around the idea that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction was a lie, propaganda, a pretext by which to launch a war. There were documents from both the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Israeli Knesset that admitted that much of the intelligence given by Israel to the Bush administration was false. One former Israeli general affirmed that “Israeli intelligence was a full partner to the picture presented by American and British intelligence regarding Iraq’s non-conventional capabilities.” (See Mearsheimer, The Israel Lobby, ch. 7, pp. 229, 235-237)
The propaganda schemes they did to Iraq, they are now doing to Iran, with the US government wanting to use sanctions to cripple its economy and thereby make it more vulnerable for destabilization.
This is what the neoconservatives want. There are also people in the co-called counterjihad — a movement that was officialized by the CIA front, the Center for Security Policy — who want this as well. Last year, Robert Spencer published an article by his colleague Hugh Fitzgerald in which he calls for the US government to arm the Arab separatists in Khuzestan in order to cause a revolution, sever the region and destabilize Iran:
“But if those Arabs were supplied directly with arms, or with the money to buy arms, they could cause a great deal of destruction to the oilfields and thus to the Iranian economy.
Were Iran to lose control of Khuzestan, it would also be losing the region from which 85% of its oil, and 60% of its gas, comes from. In other words, the loss of Khuzestan would destroy the Iranian economy.”
So while these people claim to be ‘fighting the jihad,’ they are in fact pushing for policies that advance Islamism. While people like Giuliani and Bolton will clench their fists against Islamic fundamentalism or communism, they will lobby for a major terrorist organization that is ideologically Islamic and Marxist. The world is inundated with the greatest deceptions; with entities that present a shell of a certain sentiment, only to disappear like a shadow when the fire is blown; with lobbyists that express themselves against one monster, only to keep behind the curtains an even more vitriolic leviathan. Welcome to the world of the lobbyists, where nothing is what it seems. They will scream “justice!” ceaselessly, when they are for injustice. The Pharisees revered the law, and in the name of law crucified their Messiah, and in this they became lawless. They revered justice, and murdered Christ, and in this, became unjust. An excessive fixation on law turns one lawless; an excessive fixation on justice turns one unjust.
