GrAMNESTY ALERT: Lindsey Graham to float new proposal to end shutdown in meeting with President Trump
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said he will present a proposal to President Donald Trump on Wednesday morning to end the federal government’s partial shutdown.
Graham said he will urge Trump to sign a measure reopening the entire federal government if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi agrees to take up a bipartisan Senate bill dealing with a border wall and other immigration issues.

“Give us about three weeks to see if we can work this out,” said Graham, a Republican from Seneca. “To me that seems to be a good way to jump-start the process.”
