Former Vice President Joe Biden Says Something That Actually Makes Sense
President Joe Biden was called by some “Oh No Joe” because of his tendency to make statements or behave in ways that were rude, vulgar, obscene, or just abnormal. Many people likened him, correctly so, to a strange neighbor or a creepy member of one’s family that one seldom sees.
However, as I have said before, a broken clock is right twice a day, and that regardless of affiliations, such people can say things that are at times correct, with an example being some of Biden’s recent comments about President Trump, saying that he was acting is ways that were an “embarrassment”:
Former Vice President Joe Biden blasted President Donald Trump in everything but name at a defense summit, as he declared America “an embarrassment” before European allies.
Biden, in an extended apology that prompted loud applause from the delegates at the NATO Munich Security Conference Saturday, suggested the United States had abandoned its bedrock principles and commitment to Europe, the Washington Examiner reports.
Violating a decades-old tradition of leaving politics at home when addressing foreign nationals, the potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidate spent much of his speech suggesting America had violated its commitment to “human decency” and other cornerstones of democracy. Biden has said that he wishes to restore “civility” and “respect” to American politics.
“The America I see values basic human decency, not snatching children from their parents or turning our back on refugees at our border. Americans know that’s not right,” Biden asserted. “The American people understand plainly that this makes us an embarrassment. The American people know, overwhelmingly, that it is not right. That it is not who we are.”
Biden said: “While I cannot speak today as an elected government official who is able to set policy, I can speak as a citizen. I can offer insight into my country. I know we’ve heard a lot today about leadership, but in my experience, leadership only exists if somebody — and others — are with you. Leadership in the absence of people who are with you is not leadership.”
While Biden was in the midst of his administration critique, he suggested it was wrong “to disagree with your brothers and sisters in public. Today because of, I think, a lack of leadership coming from the other side of the Atlantic, we find ourselves in a different place, and it’s uncomfortable.”
The former Democratic senator from Delaware suggested hope was on the way as he discussed his two-year trek across America “from Minnesota to Texas, from Boston to Birmingham,” in search of answers that he claimed he found.
“I can assure you, that the American people, the ultimate wellspring of power in the United States of America, remain committed to engaging the world with decency and respect.” (source, source)
Again, devoid of political affiliations, how are his statements incorrect?
President Obama did many bad things that needed to be called out. Likewise, what applies to Obama also applies to Trump. As I have pointed out before, Trump’s actions are undermining the rule of law in the US, he is reviving nationalism around the world, and he is acting in ways that often times are just plain rude and disrespectful to others, regardless of the matter. Ways that if Obama acted I would also call out, and which Trump deserves no exception.
Years ago, there was a black preacher name Dr. James David Manning who made a famous video called “Obama is a mack daddy.” It became instantly popular, and Dr. Manning was featured on TV because of it. His ministry experienced a financial boom, and many people tuned into him.
There are many things that Dr. Manning teaches and believes that are just plain wrong. However, being true to the principle that even a broken clock is right twice a day, one of the important issues he did not waver on but stood strong was the issue of the LGBT. Dr. Manning previously and during his fame did not submit to the rising influence of homosexuality in politics, and eventually it was his opposition to homosexuality that caused a majority of people to stop donating to him, to start attacking him when they had previously supported him, and eventually to have YouTube shut down his channel and the many videos he did because of complaints about his preaching the simple words of Sacred Scripture about the sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance.
The above video, which somebody saved with added commentary, is one of the few full copies of the segment that caused a revolt among the “conservatives” against Manning. Now while saying that God gave him a prophecy that He is going to “put a cancer in the butthole of every sodomite” is crude, the fact is that the rise of the LGBT has brought about an epidemic of anal and colorectal cancer that we have documented on Shoebat.com. This is not to say that his “prophecy” is true, but a simple medical and scientific observation based on available facts and a simple reading of the Biblical text. Indeed, sodomy is a sin in the Bible, and frankly stated, men were not meant to ejaculate into each other’s rectums, and because this is an unnatural activity and the rectum is the organ which is used to remove waste from the body, it is not a surprise that one masturbating with feces would not have potentially serious health consequences.
On February 17. 2019, Dr. Manning gave a sermon where he said that he would not submit to anybody, including supporters of President Trump, simply because of political expediency. This is something he must be commended for, because just as Walid has continually noted, one put place truth and principle over the favor of men.
The reason for many of the messes that exist in American politics today is because of the willing sacrifice of principle in favor of political expediency. While one always and should want to hope and desire the best for one’s particular group, as such is a natural impulse, the fact is that truth sometimes hurts to tell others. However, it still needs to be told.
The same must be said about Joe Biden. Biden was wrong about many things, but truly, even sometimes people who are wrong about most things can be right on others, and that must not be ignored or overlooked.
