Recent Poll Confirms What We Have Been Saying- Millennials And Gen Z Love Socialism And Want More
Millennials and Gen Z have professed their open and abundant love of socialism. With their numbers growing in presence in the economy and society and taking power from the Boomers and the last remnant of the Silent generation, their voice will influence the nation for generations to come.
A recent poll has confirmed this warning, which we have been repeating continuously, is that socialism is on the rise and is not going to stop any time soon according to a report:
Generation Z has a more positive view of the word “socialism” than previous generations, and — along with millennials — are more likely to embrace socialistic policies and principles than past generations, according to a new Harris Poll given exclusively to Axios.
The word “socialism” does not carry the same stigma it did in the past, now that it has been resurrected by celebrity politicians like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Young people’s political views often change as they grow older, but their support for socialistic policies is a sign that the old rules of politics are changing fast.
Gen Z and millennials are projected to make up 37% of the electorate in 2020, and what they’re looking for in a presidential candidate is shifting.
The top three voting issues for Gen Z, according to the Harris poll, are mass shootings, racial equality, and immigration policy and treatment of immigrants.
Millennials’ top issues are access to health care, global warming/climate change and mass shootings.
Gen X’s top issues are: access to health care, terrorism/national security and the national debt — the same top issues for boomers and older. (source, source)
This is why Yang is becoming so popular as a candidate. He is not a unique individual, but a reflection of the tyranny found in the masses.
People vote for the candidate who most closely reflects them. That is why countries, many times, get the leaders they deserve. If the leader is a bad person, it is likely because the country is made up, sadly, of many bad people.
Socialism brings violence with it, as is easily seen throughout the history of the twentieth century. Socialism brought death to much of the old world. However, it is not because of physical flaw in the people, but rather by the adaptation of this philosophy which leads to chaos and death.
As I warned in December 2017, the Baby Boomers should take heed of this because while there is much they did to help cause this situation, one cannot wish ill will on them. Indeed, they should take heed that as the millennials and Gen Z are directing much of their anger against them, they should prepare for their future because they will be the object of rage for their wrath that will be for the most part without mercy.
While the future looks strikingly like something from “Brave New World,” it is really the continuation of the events that transpired in the old world, but with technological improvement and a contemporary style, but no less viciousness in the denial of man’s humanity in a selfish quest for raw power.
