Ehud Barak’s phone and computer hacked by Iranian intelligence – report
Former prime minister Ehud Barak had his phone and computer tapped by Iranians, according to the head of the Shin Bet, Nadav Argaman.
Israel’s Channel 12 released a report on Sunday that said an infiltration into the former prime minister’s phone was detected about six months ago.
Sources close to the case claimed that it did not seem like the Iranians themselves hacked the phone, but rather purchased the information from hackers. The information that appears to have been taken is not vital, according to the report.
This release came in the wake of last week’s report that Blue and White Party leader Benny Gantz’s phone was hacked by Iranian intelligence, who managed to steal its contents.
Blue and White released a statement accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of leaking the report about his phone and then briefing reporters with lies.
