Major Figure In The Banking Industry Calls For Huge US Military Invasion Of Venezuela
By Theodore Shoebat
A major economist, Ricardo Hausmann, has exhorted the United States to do a World War Two D-Day style military invasion of Venezuela. In an article written by Hausmann, he writes:
As solutions go, why not consider the following one: the national assembly could impeach Maduro and the Ofac-sanctioned, narco-trafficking vice-president, Tareck El Aissami. The assembly could constitutionally appoint a new government, which in turn could request military assistance from a coalition of the willing, including Latin American, North American, and European countries. This force would free Venezuela, in the same way Canadians, Australians, Brits and Americans liberated Europe in 1944-1945.
Hausmann, a Venezuelan Jew, is calling for an Iraq style war in Venezuela. It is interesting how someone who is deep within the financial industry is calling for a war, which is not really too surprising. Hausmann does have an interest in a war in Venezuela. In fact, Juan Guaido, who has made himself president in Venezuela over Nicolas Maduro, appointed Hausmann to be Venezuela’s representative to the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), as we read in a report from VOA:
Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido named Harvard University economist Ricardo Hausmann as the country’s representative to the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), Guaido’s envoy to the United States said on Monday. The regional lender confirmed it had received a letter from Guaido naming Hausmann and said it was considering how to proceed.
“We’ve received the letter and are determining next steps,” a bank official told Reuters.
Venezuela poses a tricky problem for the Washington-based lender, whose charter prevents its board from discussing internal political issue of member states. If the board agrees to accept Guaido’s representative, it would be the first financial institution to make such a move.
This Hausmann was the first Chief Economist of the Inter-American Development Bank (1994-2000) and also served as Chair of the IMF-World Bank Development Committee. Hausmann is in deep with the banking industry, and now he is calling for a war. If a war against Venezuela commences, it will be a war of the bankers.
