Anne Graham Lotz Starts Daily Radiation Treatment, Praises God for Giving Her Strength
Evangelist Anne Graham Lotz updated her Facebook followers on her Cancer journey on Thursday as she praised God for giving her strength.
Lotz shared a photo of herself appearing to check in for her radiology appointment on Facebook. She captioned the photo saying, “Praise God! My first of a month of daily radiation treatments went extremely well today.”
She continued, “My greatest concern has been for my heart and lung to be protected. Psalm 73:26 was in this morning’s Daily Light: “God is the strength of my heart”—I have claimed this as His promise to me throughout radiation.”
“Thank you for praying with me on this journey of faith,” she added.
As Christian Headlines previously reported, Lotz was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of last year. The daughter of Billy Graham underwent surgery to remove the cancer, but later a pathology report showed that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.
After several rounds of chemotherapy, Lotz announced in February that she would be ending chemotherapy after her seventh round of the cancer treatment. Lotz noted on her blog that she believed that God had healed her of her cancer and the Holy Spirit was moving her to end her chemotherapy treatments.
She wrote, “And I could hear the clear whisper of the Spirit, answering my prayer, confirming that I was to continue chemo…my next and last full treatment would be my seventh time!”
Lotz is now undergoing daily radiation treatments and according to CBN News, the evangelist will have “infusions every three weeks until October 2019 to help ensure the cancer will not return.”
Lotz wrote in a February newsletter, “As so many of you know, cancer is a wicked disease.”
She then asked for prayer saying, “As God brings me to your mind, I would treasure your continued prayers.”
