Former porn star Sunny Leone hits back at critics of career change (VIDEO)
Porn star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has struck back at internet trolls and “weird fanatics” who criticized her move away from the adult film industry.
Leone was appearing on a web chat show hosted by fellow Indian actor, Arbaaz Khan, when she responded to various “mean tweets” and thanked her “haters” for taking such a passionate interest in her career choices:
“Thank you so much for trolling me. It feels amazing because I know how long you are spending on my page,” Leone said in a teaser for the show. She also criticized the media for bringing attention to what she called “weird fanatic groups” who burn her pictures or threaten to commit “mass suicide” if she visits their city.

Leone went on to describe her porn career as a decision that she felt was “best for me at that moment in time,” while clarifying that she has now “evolved” and “moved on” by launching a cosmetic brand and Bollywood film career.
Born in Canada to Indian parents, Leone first gained fame in US porn in 2001, working in the industry for a decade before shifting her focus towards mainstream films and moving to India to pursue a career in Bollywood.
