Hillsong United Sings a Message of Hope on Good Morning America
Popular contemporary Christian group Hillsong United kicked off their People album release week on Monday with a powerful performance on Good Morning America.
The award-winning praise and worship band took to ABC’s GMA stage to sing their single “Good Grace” off of their new live studio album.
The band – whose songs are estimated to be sung by 50 million people each Sunday in church services – sang a message of hope for our divided world.
The group sang, “People come together / Strange as neighbors / Our blood is one / Children of generations / Of every nation / Of kingdom come.”
They continued, “So don’t let your heart be troubled / Hold your head up high / Don’t fear no evil / Fix your eyes on this one truth / God is madly in love with you / So take courage / Hold on / Be strong / Remember where our help comes from.”
“Jesus / Our redemption / Our salvation / Is in His blood / Jesus / Light of heaven / Friend forever / His kingdom come,” they praised.
The group’s new album People– which is set to be released this Friday – is comprised of 12 songs, all of which were recorded live. Songs “Whole Heart,” “As You Find Me,” “Another in the Fire,” and Good Grace” have already been released from the album.
As the new album hits the market, the group is also preparing to take their new songs on the road. Hillsong United’s “The People Tour” is set to make 33 stops across North America including two stops in Canada. The Tour kicks off one day before the album’s release in Austin, TX.
