It’s About Time: The Book Of Revelation Now Includes A Spoiler Warning

U.S.—Bible publishers across the country have agreed to place a spoiler warning in front of all copies of the Book of Revelation, both digital and physical.

The message will warn users that reading any further could spoil major plot points regarding the end of the world and the ultimate purposes of God in human history. The spoiler warnings will also be applied to the books of Daniel and Zechariah, as well as various other places in the Bible where end times prophecies appear.

“We were getting a lot of complaints that we were spoiling the end of human history toward that God has sovereignly ordained,” Justin Taylor said on behalf of Crossway, publisher of the English Standard Version. “So we put our heads together with publishers of some of the less good Bible versions, and we came up with the idea of a spoiler warning. Now, if you don’t want to find out who wins, you won’t know until we get there.”

“It’s a great solution for everybody,” he added.

Preterist believers have protested the move.
