11-Year-Old ‘Drag Kid’ Among ‘Faces of Pride’ for Converse Homosexual, Transgender Shoe Collection

The popular shoe company Converse, a subsidiary of Nike, has announced its annual “Pride Collection” of sneakers with rainbow and transgender flag themes. Included among its six “faces of pride” for the collection this year is an 11-year-old “drag kid” known as “Desmond is Amazing.”

“What started as a rebellious fight for equality has since grown into a loud, proud assertion of true self-expression. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pride with a glitter-dipped collection of parade-worthy sneakers, including our first-ever trans flag design. Because equal rights are for everyone,” reads the Converse webpage for the collection.

High top and low top chuck shoes include designs with rainbow stripes or dots — and rainbow soles, as well as a new pink, blue and grey shoe that represents the transgender flag. Contributions from sneaker sales are being made to the It Gets Better Project, OUT MetroWest, and Fenway Health.”

The company announced this year’s product line on May 6 with a group photo of the six “faces of pride” for the collection, writing on social media, “We’re happy to launch our Pride Collection, partnering with six individuals connected to the LGBTQ+ community who show the power of expressing one’s true self.”

The models/representatives are also featured on the Converse site, as visitors can click on each photograph and read a quote about pride.

“As our community grows, the rest of the world will understand that people are people and love is love,” writes a former Navy SEAL who now identifies as a woman and goes by the name Kristin Beck.

“Being transgender does not define who I am, but it doesn’t stop me from being prideful,” also states a teenage girl who identifies as a boy and goes by the name Felix.

“There is no normal,” remarks Desmond Napoles, an 11-year-old “drag kid.”

As previously reported, Napoles was also promoted earlier this year on ABC’s “Good Morning America” as he strutted his way onto the set of the broadcast, wearing a yellow dress with a white fur coat, along with a long wig and makeup. He laid down on the floor at the conclusion of his flamboyant entrance, being met with cheers and laughter.

Some also became outraged after reports surfaced about Napoles’ performance at the homosexual bar 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn, during which those in attendance threw money at the dancing child.

Similarly, reaction to Converse’s annual Pride Collection has been largely negative, with some noting that Napoles is just a child and should not be made the poster boy of drag.

“Oh Converse, no. That’s a small child,” one commenter wrote under the company’s Twitter announcement.

“Um, using a child in this manner is super inappropriate. What were you thinking??!” another asked.

“We see where you stand with promoting KIDS as drags!!!” a third exclaimed.

A number of commenters said that they would not buy from the company again.

“And now I am done with Converse. This is sad, exploiting, and uncalled for. Might try #Vans next,” one follower wrote.

“Thanks for ruining one of my favorite brands. Never more Converse. Bye,” another stated.

“Won’t be wearing their boots again. I’ll be so thankful when Lord Jesus puts everything back to the natural order,” a third remarked.

As previously reported, the Bible teaches that all men are in the same predicament: All are born with the Adamic sin nature, having various inherent inclinations that are contrary to the law of God. All are “by nature the children of wrath” and the enemies of God (Ephesians 2:3; Romans 5:10), being utterly incapable of changing themselves or working their way into God’s good graces.

Jesus outlined in John 3:5-7 that men must be regenerated by the second birth, and must have their very nature changed by the Spirit of God, or they cannot see the kingdom of Heaven.

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God,” he declared. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

While society urges men to follow their heart, the Bible contrarily teaches that “[t]he heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9). It says that men’s natural hearts must be supernaturally changed to that which aligns with God’s heart (Ezekiel 11:19).

“By nature, we do not love the laws of Christ’s spiritual kingdom. … [W]e have no love to them and delight in them. It is not our meat and drink to do our father’s will,” also outlined the late Anglican preacher J.C. Ryle. “Oh no, by nature, we love our own way and our own inclinations, and that is our only law. We bring forth fruit unto ourselves, but not unto God. Our own pleasure and our own profit take up all our attention, and as for Him who made us and redeemed us, too many do not give Him the every leaving of their time.”
