Christian Man’s Home Attacked By Mob Of Hindu Terrorists
India is becoming one of the most dangerous nations to be a Christian in. Driven by violence from Hindu terrorists, the nation is now in the top ten most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian. On average, a Christian is attacked every 40 hours, mostly from people associated with the same Hindu nationalist groups. There is evidence to indicate that these same people are planning a genocide of Christians in the future.
Another round of violence had a Christian man’s house attacked by Hindu terrorists for refusing to stop being a place for Christians to meet according to a report:
The home of a Christian in India’s Tripura state was recently ransacked by Hindu radicals. According to local sources reached by International Christian Concern (ICC), this incident, along with the recent reelection of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has left the already persecuted community in a state of terror.
According to these local sources, the home of Samrat, a Christian, was attacked by Hindu radicals last Thursday, May 23, in Bishalgarh village. As a result of the attack, furniture, windows, and other household items were damaged or completely destroyed.
Samrat’s home was targeted because it has doubled as a gathering place for Christian worship. In March 2018, Christians report that Hindu radicals used threats and intimidation to close down the local church in Bishalgarh village. This forced the Christians of Bishalgarh village to gather in the homes of local believers in secret.
Thankfully, Samrat and his family were not home during the attack. Otherwise, local Christians believe the family would have been severely beaten.
The attack on Samrat’s home happened as the BJP celebrated a landslide victory in India’s national elections. Founded on an ideology of Hindu nationalism, the BJP-led government has overseen a dramatic rise in religious intolerance and attacks on religious minorities in India since it took power in 2014.
According to the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI), violent attacks on India’s Christian community have more than doubled over the course of the BJP’s rule. In 2014, EFI documented 147 violent attacks on India’s Christian community. In 2018, after four years of BJP rule, EFI documented 325 violent attacks. (source)
