Trump Proposes Constitutional Amendment Making It Illegal To Burn Him On Twitter

WASHINGTON, D.C.—President Trump has proposed an amendment to the Constitution which would make it illegal to roast him on Twitter.

“I am all in for a strong BAN on burning me on Twitter. A no brainer!” Trump tweeted, his post immediately being flamed by users from both sides of the political divide.

“Nobody should be allowed to burn the president – if they do, there must be consequences – perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!” he had previously tweeted.

Some pundits were quick to support the president, arguing that it is unpatriotic to burn the president with savage memes, hilarious replies, or general satire and mockery. They claimed that burning the president isn’t a protected form of free speech since you’re obviously a terrorist or traitor if you engage in criticizing the president.

“If I were President, the punishment for savagely burning the president would be the renunciation of citizenship,” tweeted Candace Ownes. “No jail time, no fine—simply one year to liquidate your assets and get the hell out of our country.”

At publishing time, Trump and his supporters had clarified that it would still be OK to burn a Democratic president.
