Jesus Ratioed On Twitter For Saying ‘Love Your Enemies’
RIGHT HAND OF GOD—Jesus Christ, Messiah and Son of God, put a rather controversial statement on Twitter, tweeting out, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” The tweet received few retweets and likes and instead was responded to with a huge number of angry replies.
“You want us to love NAZIS?!!” read one of many typical responses. Others accused Jesus of wanting to give aid to white nationalists or of giving support to those who want to ruin the country. Jesus was also accused of helping destroy the planet by comforting climate deniers. “Irresponsible tweets like this could kill us all!” read one such response.
In the hours after the tweet, Jesus’s twitter handle was met with a chorus of “CANCEL HIM!” to the point that the phrase started trending.
As of this writing, Jesus’s Twitter account is now suspended. Jesus reportedly had received a notification from Twitter that the controversial tweet showed insufficient hatred to known bad people and Jesus’s account will not be restored until he deletes it.
