The Israeli Air Force struck Hamas positions in the northern and central Gaza Strip on Saturday night in retaliation for an earlier drone attack against and IDF humvee positioned along the border fence.
The military confirmed that the strikes, which lasted close to an hour, hit naval combat equipment belonging to the terror group and two military compounds.
The IDF conducted the attacks in response to the drone attack earlier on Saturday in which a drone dropped an IED on an IDF vehicle, according to the IDF spokesperson.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that there were no injuries in the airstrikes on Saturday night.

Explosions were heard at various sites in the northern and central Gaza Strip and multiple strikes were reported by Palestinian media.
The IAF attacks targeted the Ashkelon site in the northern Gaza Strip and the Salah al-Din site and positions of the 13th Brigade and Issa al-Batran in the central Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian media.
The Israeli navy fired flares from the sea near the northern Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Sawa news agency.
The Eshkol Regional Council sent a message to residents in the area informing them that explosions that they were hearing were due to IDF operations.
Earlier on Saturday, a Gazan drone dropped an IED on a military position along the border fence.
While no IDF troops were injured, there was slight damage to military vehicles by the drone attack
The incident came hours after the IDF struck several Hamas posts in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday night in retaliation for five rockets which were fired towards southern Israel communities bordering the Hamas-run enclave.
