The Trump-Ukraine Whistleblower Scandal Is Not About Impeachment, But Attacking Civil Liberties
The Trump reality television show did not end with Trump’s departure from the show in 2015, but has continued well into 2016 with the election year campaign, and since then throughout his entire term in the White House.
In another episode in the reality television show now taken to the world stage and with real-life consequences, Trump has been “caught” in a scandal with the newly “(s)elected” Ukrainian President over a telephone conversation. The Democrats have said they intend to “impeach” him over it, although it is admitted they have no case to stand on, something which has helped to build support for Trump for the 2020 election. Likewise, a story has just emerged from the New York Times that says the “whistleblower” over the call with Ukraine, which is being claimed was done to help Trump get elected, was a CIA officer still employed with the agency.
The whistle-blower who revealed that President Trump sought foreign help for his re-election and that the White House sought to cover it up is a C.I.A. officer who was detailed to work at the White House at one point, according to three people familiar with his identity.
The man has since returned to the C.I.A., the people said. Little else is known about him. His complaint made public Thursday suggested he was an analyst by training and made clear he was steeped in details of American foreign policy toward Europe, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of Ukrainian politics and at least some knowledge of the law.
The whistle-blower’s expertise will likely add to lawmakers’ confidence about the merits of his complaint, and tamp down allegations that he might have misunderstood what he learned about Mr. Trump. He did not listen directly to a July call between Mr. Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine that is at the center of the political firestorm over the president’s mixing of diplomacy with personal political gain. The entire bit about impeachment charges for Trump is bogus. This is only a fantasy, and has angered many people because the obvious ridiculousness of it coming from the “old guard” of the Democrat party only serves to make the party look stupid – all things that seem to be intended.
Consider the following.
We know for a fact that the CIA is paid to lie. Mike Pompeo, former head of the CIA, admitted as such that this is what the organization does. They spread disinformation- lies -for political gain. As the famed quote often attributed to former CIA director William Casey goes,
We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” (source)
Right now, there are several things taking place.
First, Trump has destroyed his base due to his pathological lying and manipulation, and he needs to rebuild it in order to get re-elected.
Second, as Shoebat.com has noted, it appears the Democrats want Trump to win because they are doing things to virtually ensure that they do not get re-elected. This way, if Trump is re-elected in 2020, it almost guarantees a straight Democratic victory streak from 2020 through 2028.
Third, is that one of the defining characteristics of the Trump presidency has been the general undermining of laws protecting the people. This was noted with his repeated attempts to go “directly” to the Supreme Court instead of working through the Judicial process, something that Justice Roberts directly criticized Trump for doing because his actions are undermining the process by which law is passed and thus the relevancy of the courts themselves, subjugating them more to the Executive Branch of government than what they already have been. Likewise, Trump has appointed former CIA officer Robert Barr as Attorney General, where he is known for lobbying in favor of mass incarceration of people.
Fourth, in spite of the complaints from the “right” against Obama, Trump has effectively rolled back the rights of the people. One of these examples as when he went through the with “bump stock” ban, for white it was small, it was still a type of weapons restrictions. While there was a lot of talk about Obama, he did not do this, but even allowed the Federal Assault Weapons Ban to expire during his presidency.
Taking a look at all of these things, one must naturally ask, what is the purpose of this “whistleblower scandal” that is appearing to be a bunch of nothing?
It is well-known that the government does not like “whistleblowers,” and will in fact attempt to persecute them while criticizing other countries of doing this.
Considering that this “whistleblower” was a CIA operative, given the history of lying that the CIA does, there is no way to prove that anything was true. Indeed, it makes sense that such would not be true, for if the CIA is paid to lie and deceive, could this have been an intentional deception, knowing that people would not be deceived by it, and so with the “intention” that it would be easily “exposed,” was this done in order to get people to look at “whistleblowers” at large with mistrust and suspicion while at the same time rallying around the President and further diving the “left” and the “right”?” Likewise, given the nature of such a “scandal,” would it not serve as a major reason to “expose the left” and, given the current state of apparently what seems to be intentional chaos in the Democrat party, simply help to seal a Trump 2020 re-election?
If so, it is a very clever and likely a highly effective approach, for it combines multiple objectives into one fell action, all of which have the probability to have positive outcomes.
This “Trump Ukraine” scandal is the “right wing” equivalent of the nonsense taking place with “Greta Thunberg” and her speech at the UN, as both are clearly being manufactured into something that is greater than what they actually are. It is like the ISIS beheading videos of 2014, for Muslims have been beheading people on video for many years, and one would naturally have to ask why a particular video was given so much attention at that particular time, which was, as from what one can tell, part of building up support to the 2016 election campaign.
Ukrainian politics is notorious for corruption, and Trump is not going to save anybody, and neither will the Democrats. This is a political distraction from as well as a cover for the evisceration of civil liberties and the preparations for 2020 and beyond. It is not the “scandal” that it is being made into save for political gain. It is setting up for a future where it will be harder to tell the truth lest one suffer the wrath of government, and those who seek it will be forced further into the recessed corners of the public sphere.
