Air Canada to Greet Passengers as ‘Everybody’ Instead of ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ to Cater to Sexually Immoral
Come fly the gender-free skies? Air Canada has announced that it will no longer greet passengers as “ladies and gentlemen” when making any kind of announcements, but will instead refer to passengers as “everybody” — or “tout le monde” when addressing residents of French-speaking Quebec — in order to cater to the sexually immoral.
Though the timeline of when the new policy will be implemented is unclear, Air Canada says that the change is being made as a part of trying to be more “inclusive.”
According to media outlet La Presse, an internal memo that was circulated states that the language change is to be used by gate agents, flight attendants, as well as pilots.
“We want to ensure an inclusive space for everyone, including those who identify with gender X,” the memo stated.
“The change will be reflected in the transmission of the Onboard Announcement Manual as part of our commitment to respect gender identity, diversity and inclusion. We will tell you when this transmission will be available and when to implement this change.”
“We will be amending our onboard announcements to modernize them and remove specific references to gender,” Air Canada wrote in a statement. “We work hard to make sure all employees feel like valued members of the Air Canada family while ensuring our customers are comfortable and respected when they choose to travel with us.”
The country of Canada itself has also making great efforts to disregard there being only two genders by recommending that its provinces provide a third, so-called non-binary gender option labeled as an “X” on official documents, such as on birth certificates. Canadian passports are also available with the so-called “gender X” identification.
The Bible teaches in Genesis 5:1-2, “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”
Jesus said in Matthew 19:4-5, “…Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”
