Audiences Delighted By New ABC Show ‘MMA With The Stars’

U.S.—ABC once again has a hit on its hands as it reports seeing record ratings with its new show MMA with the Stars. In the hit program, celebrities compete in a no-holds-barred fight until one of them either submits or ends up unconscious.

“It’s just such a fun show,” said producer Willis Hopkins. “I think as soon as people saw Tonya Harding choke out Bill Nye, everyone was hooked.”

One of the attractions of the show is that viewers feel they get to know celebrities a bit more personally when they witness them in an intense, violent struggle. “Wow, I never knew Frankie Muniz was that vicious,” said viewer Marcia Edwards. “Malcolm in the Middle is scary.”

The show is not without controversy, though. Recently, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was thoroughly pummeled by Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff, yet Spicer survived to the next round thanks to the audience vote. Next week, he will face Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews.
