Jesus' Coming Back

Bad Behavior Is Not Limited To Any Group Of People

Years ago, the Afro-American comic-turned-cartoon “The Boondocks” put out a clip on her show that many people called highly racist. The clip showed two of the main characters going to a chicken restaurant to try the latest fried chicken with the “new recipe”, and when they arrive, the restaurant announces they have run out of chicken. They and an enraged crowd of people proceed to call the police, drive a car through the restaurant, and attack the staff, demanding their fried chicken lest they and their children starve.

Now one may have his opinions about this clip, but it certainly captures the American mania associated with fast food establishments, where the inability to “satisfy” a customer leads to violence. This was seen this week when a black man stabbed another man to death at a Popeye’s Chicken restaurant because he claimed the other man cut in front of him in line while waiting to try the new chicken recipe.

Davis was killed the night of Nov. 4 at a Popeyes in Oxon Hill, Md., police said, the day after the company began reselling the sandwich that developed a viral following this past summer.

Surveillance video shows Davis “methodically” cutting in a line designated for customers buying a sandwich, Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said last week. When Davis reached the front counter, Stawinski said surveillance video shows he was confronted by another customer before the argument spilled out into the parking lot where Davis was stabbed once in the upper body. Not long after the incident in Maryland, on the other side of the country in Temecula, CA, two white women got into a fight outside of Popeyes at the drive-thru because of an incorrect order. The chaos was captured on camera and went all around the Internet.

Drummond said a man in a white car became frustrated with an incorrect order, according to KFMB. The unidentified man said he had been waiting for more than an hour and refused to come inside to have the order fixed.

Another man in a black car behind the disgruntled customer honked his horn “really loudly,” she said, which prompted the man in the white car to exit his vehicle and begin shouting at the man and his wife.

The video clips posted to Drummond’s Facebook page captured the fight escalating to a physical encounter, in which both men and their female companions throw punches, and at some point, tumble to the ground in an all-out brawl. (source)

Then in Tennessee, a white woman and a black male Popeye’s employee got into an altercation and he “body slammed” her. She said that he attacked her, he said that she attacked him and made racist statements. This was also caught on video.

Staggs, he said, started swearing at his general manager after being asked to leave and come back the next day when she claimed she was double charged by the restaurant.

“And then she called her a fat ugly [n-word] and that’s when the whole store was like, whoa,” the employee said. “It stunned me. Like, I knew that racism was still alive in a sorts, but to witness it first-hand in my workplace is kind of new to me.” (source)

There has been so much chaos around Popeye’s restaurants because of the new chicken sandwich that it has become the subject of news reports.

Could it be something in the fried chicken? Some might wonder, but a recent story of a related nature from Indiana may contest this, as three court judges were suspended after they became intoxicated and then got into a drunken brawl in the parking lot of a “White Castle” fast food restaurant where one of the judges shot and seriously wounded the other two judges.

The altercation apparently started sometime after 3 a.m., when one of the judges, Sabrina Bell, raised a middle finger at two men yelling from a passing SUV, and ended after one of those men shot two of the judges.

In between, the three judges took a number of actions that “discredited the entire Indiana judiciary,” according to an opinion posted by the Indiana Supreme Court this week, suspending the judges.

The court found that the three — Andrew Adams, Bradley Jacobs and Sabrina Bell — had “engaged in judicial misconduct by appearing in public in an intoxicated state and behaving in an injudicious manner and by becoming involved in a verbal altercation.” Adams and Jacobs engaged in further judicial misconduct “by becoming involved in a physical altercation for which Judge Adams was criminally charged and convicted.”

What does one have to say about all of these incidents?

There is a tendency when people see events such as these, to say “Look at those [name here] and how crazy they are acting, they are awful”, and it is true in the sense of their actions that fighting and murdering each other over fast food or as such like establishments is bad. However, such arguments cannot be used, as they often are, as a pretext for racism because men are capable of committing the exact same kinds of deviant behaviors regardless of race. What often times separates them is that certain groups of people are less proficient at hiding their dysfunction than others.

For example, people will speak of the high rates of crime among Afro-Americans, and this is a clear fact. At the same time, it is also well-known that most crimes go unsolved, and likewise, that many times American blacks do a much poorer job of covering up (or don’t even try to cover up in some cases) their crimes or are very poor liars in comparison to American whites, who do much better at all three. This does not mean that whites are “better”, but that overall, they tend to organized and execute their plans better to as to make it more difficult to be caught.

A similar example can be given with Germanic people (Anglo-Saxons, Dutch, Germans) and Slavs (Poles, Russians, Ukrainians). Both have a history of lying, but the former is very skilled at lying, while the latter attempts but usually exposes himself because he is a terrible liar. What the Germanic man will skillfully portray as a suicide with a noose, a “note”, and an organized setup to obscure the real cause of death, the Slav (as in the days of the KGB) will drag a man to the top of a building, shoot the man in the head (in public, so the gunshot can be heard), throw him off the building, and when the body falls will have the police say (cue Slavic accent) “Oh look, he throw himself from building” as the fresh bullet wound from his head continues to bleed in front of all the onlookers.

Perhaps instead of looking to race first as the “reason” for why these things happen, as these incidents cross all races, one should consider the morals, values, and temperaments of the people, as this is the greater cause of dysfunction in any society and which so few want to address. Feeding into racist ideologies only creates tension between peoples that is exploited in the hands of a skilled manipulator who uses the aggression to manipulate people into serving particular political ends that further enslave them to his will at the same time they drain their finances for his benefit and to their loss.

This is why, as Shoebat.com has said many times, the answer to the racism of today, the past, and whatever form will come in the future, is always the Gospel.
