New Poll Declares That 42% Of Americans Under 40 Would Elect An Openly Socialist President
What is called “socialism” today has always existed throughout history, just in different forms. However, it and her other forms are all the same thing in their fundamental essence, which is the elevation of the society and community to a state of pre-eminence over all other moral teachings, where truth is placed into the material strictly, and the “authority” for defining said “truth” is naturally concentrated to the leaders of a society. It is captured well by the Epicurean philosophical worldview, and warned against directly in Wisdom 2 of the Bible, which says that there are some people who, seeing nothing greater than this world, exist solely for themselves and without any care for others. The care of personal desires it given pre-eminence over all, and since they do not believe there is something greater than this world, they have no care for others and believe they are justified to crush them because they believe that moral right comes from force of arms only. In that sense, he who is the ruler or as they might call him, “god”, is the one who can best beat up the others. Eventually, all of such dictatorial types are overthrown by another dictator, who continues the same process in the endless cycle that is revolution.
Some people call this the “turning” of history, other the “karmic” cycle, others the “seasons” of humanity, but it is all a cycle of endless fighting that leads only to a temporary peace before war resumes, and this is one of the many consequences of sin that Christ came to break, for by God coming to man, He smashed the cycle of revolution that when He comes again will usher in peace.
However, for now, the human race continues in her cycle of revolution to revolution, usually exacerbated by the moral character or lack thereof among the people.
The US has been experiencing a significant decline in religious practice, with fewer people than ever calling themselves Christians, and with most Christians willing to accept abominable practices as normal such as the willful murder of the innocent, the sins of Sodom, and the deprivation of the poor and working man through unjust forms of financial manipulation. This has become worse with each generation, and among the Millennials and Zoomers it has reached an unprecedented nadir. As a result, the interest in socialism has increased because people, having no religion or beliefs, see nothing outside of the world that gives them meaning, and are looking for a philosophy that support this change.
According to a recent study, 42% of Americans under 40 now have declared they would voted for a socialist president.
Those under 40 are a lot more responsive to the siren call of socialism than older voters are.
A new Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 69% of all Likely U.S. Voters rate a free-market economic system as better than socialism. Just 12% think socialism is a better economic system, but 18% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
A closer look, however, finds that while 87% of Republicans and 69% of voters not affiliated with either major party see a free-market system as better, just 53% of Democrats agree. Twenty-one percent (21%) of Democrats like socialism better, with a sizable 25% not sure.
Forty-one percent (41%) of Democrats say they would vote for a presidential candidate who identifies himself or herself as a socialist, but only 19% of GOP voters and 16% of unaffiliateds agree.
…
Younger voters are more than twice as likely as those 40 and over to think socialism is better than a free-market economic system. Forty-two percent (42%) of those ages 18 to 39 say they would vote for a socialist presidential candidate, compared to 18% of middle-aged voters and 15% of senior citizens. (source)
This is not a surprise, as Shoebat.com has been covering the sharp increase in socialism among Millennials and Zoomers. While this is not good, it is not without reason that the increase has happened, and it is more than just a decline of religion (although this is certainly a major part of it).
Both of these groups save for the youngest of Zoomers are in tremendous amounts of college debt and are having a difficult time finding jobs as well as building meaningful lives. Most of the wealth is held by their parents or a few of the very wealthy families in the country, and there is a tremendous feeling of hopelessness that many of them have. They do not see a future, just memories of the past with an unclear idea of where to do.
They are angry and have made this known, and are seeking an answer to their conundrum, but there has been no serious answer given by anybody, which has only made them angrier, and angry people, especially in mobs, tend to take to rash solutions if they are presented them, as they are thinking with their feelings and not minds.
It does not matter the form of socialism, as it can be the International socialism (Communism) of the left or the National Socialism (Nazism) of the right, both lead to death and destruction, and one does not fight one form with the other because they are just two variants of the same philosophy, the former emphasizing class and economics and the latter emphasizing blood and soil.
At this point, while it is good to “stand up” for what one believes in, the trend is firmly set for the future, which is going to be a socialist one of some form. This came about as a result of decades of problems and is not going to get better because the fundamentals have been set. For the wise man, it is less important to spend time “fighting” this trend, and instead to accept the inevitable and to prepare oneself to face what is coming.
One does not attempt to fight the rainclouds when a storm approaches in the distance. Rather, one closes the windows, puts away the garden tools, and cleans up garbage that could blow in the winds before shutting the door, going inside, and making a warm cup of cocoa with a good book, as having prepared before, one can just keep watch for potential immediate threats as the storm happens.
The Millennials and Zoomers want socialism, and they are going to get the socialism that they requested. Instead of following with the herds, one might instead prefer to go a different path, preparing for what is to come and being able to “weather the storm” rather than trying to fight the sky and end up getting rained on.
