In New Episode, The Mandalorian Has To Protect Baby Yoda From Being Ruined By Rian Johnson

U.S.—In the latest episode of Disney+’s hit show The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda — widely regarded as the greatest cultural contribution of the last one hundred years — faces his greatest threat. And that threat: Rian Johnson, full of ideas.

“I’ve got some great ideas for your kid there,” says an eager Rian Johnson as he approaches the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda on a backwater planet. “What if we find out he does have a name, and it’s ‘Glorp’? And what if we find out he’s been able to talk all this time, but he sounds like a surly cab driver? That will blow people away.”

The terse Mandalorian responds with, “No,” “That’s a horrible idea,” and “I’ll think about it” to all of the ideas while trying to lose Rian Johnson, who then attempts to steer the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda to a casino planet where he should have “lots of fun adventures.”

Eventually, an increasingly deranged Johnson corners the Mandalorian and suggests that maybe in one episode Baby Yoda could just be suddenly killed off with no resolution to who he was, since “the show isn’t really about Baby Yoda.” He also suggests giving the Mandalorian a plucky sidekick who could give a speech about how “bounty hunting is really about love.”

The show ends with the Mandalorian convincing Rian Johnson to instead work on his own property in a galaxy even longer ago and much farther away.

This episode is rated TV-MA for Star Wars fans for being the scariest thing ever aired.
