Pro-Life Group Pledges $52 Million to Re-Elect Trump, ‘the Most Pro-Life President’ in History

One of the nation’s most prominent pro-life groups, along with its political action committee, are pledging $52 million to elect pro-life candidates and re-elect President Trump, who they say “has governed as the most pro-life president in our nation’s history.”

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out, said in a memo to supporters they will visit more than 4 million voters in the “critical presidential and senate” battleground states of Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas.

The comprehensive effort will include door-to-door visits, traditional mail, phone calls and digital media – all of which will “reinforce the field effort as part of SBA List’s overall $52 million 2020 cycle budget,” the memo said.

The $52 million is more than the $45 million pledged by Planned Parenthood to defeat Trump.

“The stakes of this election could not be higher. Democratic contenders for president are lining up to support abortion on demand, and even infanticide, and declaring war on even the most modest pro-life policies,” said Mallory Quigley, national spokeswoman for Susan B. Anthony List and Women Speak Out PAC’s independent expenditure campaign. “Meanwhile, President Trump has governed as the most pro-life president in our nation’s history. Polls confirm what our on-the-ground experience and message testing show to be true: Democrats’ abortion radicalism is a liability for them at the ballot box.”

Quigley and Tim Edson, national campaign director for Susan B. Anthony List, say many voters are still persuadable.

“Our efforts the last six years demonstrate that persuadable voters including Hispanics, Independents, Democrats, and moderate Republicans can be swayed to vote pro-life for president and Senate if they have all the facts and understand just how radical the pro-abortion lobby has become,” Edson wrote in the memo to supporters. “By educating persuadable voters, including even those who consider themselves pro-choice but see extreme positions like support for late-term abortion, infanticide and abortion activists posing as federal judges as a bridge too far, we can help deliver the votes decisive for victory.”

Susan B. Anthony List will hire a state director, regional field staff and 100-200 “paid, professional, strongly pro-life canvassers” to “expose the extremism of pro-abortion candidates, and identify the clear pro-life choice” in the 2020 election, “one door and one conversation at a time,” Edson wrote.

Susan B. Anthony List is an organization that works to elect pro-life candidates and to lobby for pro-life legislation.
