Trump Acts More Like A Tyrant, Threatens The Integrity Of The Supreme Court
If a “liberal” directly started attacking Supreme Court justices who were “conservative”, then the “conservatives” would scream how this is dangerous and a threat to the republic, and this would be correct. However, “that’s my president” Donald Trump has, to the silence and support of people, started doing this, launching personal attacks against “liberal” Supreme Court justices critical of his policies and behaviors according to an Article from the UK Guardian .
In a dissent last week, justice Sonia Sotomayor criticized the Trump administration’s frequent appeals to the supreme court to intervene in lower-court decisions, and the court’s willingness to side with such requests.
On Twitter, responding to a segment on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle, Trump unleashed a tirade against Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who has criticized the president in the past.
“This is a terrible thing to say,” Trump tweeted. “Trying to ‘shame’ some into voting her way? She never criticized Justice Ginsberg when she called me a ‘faker’. Both should recuse themselves on all Trump, or Trump related, matters!

In November 2018, Trump’s relentless focus on the courts prompted supreme court chief justice John Roberts to intervene. After Trump said a federal judge was biased because of the president who appointed him, Roberts denied the assertion.
“We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges,” said the conservative appointed by George W Bush in 2005. “What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them. That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.”

It does not matter what one thinks of Trump or not. Trump’s actions and open criticism of the Justice system as a sitting President are disrespectful and dangerous, as they threaten the integrity and perception of the system. This is not “Making America Great Again,” but rather turning America into a banana republic.
But what Trump has done now does not end with him. He has lowered the standards of acceptable behavior, and having done this, make no mistake, whoever comes after him- and there will be a Democrat -will do the same thing based on his patterns of behavior, and doing this will be extremely dangerous as it will further pull at the fabric of the nation until, eventually, if it does not break, it is distorted beyond recognition.
