Faith Leaders Share Prayers Online amid Pandemic
Faith leaders around the world are virtually joining together to pray for healing from the coronavirus pandemic.
According to FaithWire, Christian pastors, preachers and other leaders are uploading videos of themselves praying for both wisdom for world leaders as they combat the virus and for healing as millions around the world face the pandemic.
Leaders are using the hashtag #GlobalPastorPrayer and #HealOurLand to post their prayers.
“With God’s help, we’ll rebound from this torrential display of terror!” Bishop T.D. Jakes said on Twitter. “While medical professionals do what they do, as elected officials lockstep with manufacturers and corporations, the rest of us must use discipline and constraint.

The prayers also included asking God for protection over medical staff and others who are caring for the sick.
“Heavenly Father, we ask for Your provision, Your power, Your protection for those who are on the front lines fighting against COVID-19,” Craig Groeschel, senior pastor at Life.Church, said. “God, for the first responders, for the doctors, for the nurses, God, we pray you protect them. God, for those who are sick, we pray for the healing power in the name of Jesus to be upon them.”

Christine Caine, evangelist and author, quoted 2 Chronicles in her prayer, saying “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
“So let’s pray together, let’s believe God together,” she said.
Pastor Rick Warren and his wife, Kay, virtually hosted the Easter Pastor Prayer Gathering, a video that featured Jakes and other worship leaders around the world, including Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman.
“No matter what the circumstances are or how we gather together, the message of Easter remains the same: Jesus is the hope of the world,” Warren said.
Pastors and church leaders, thanks for tuning in to yesterday’s #GlobalPastorPrayer. We may be apart, but we’re not alone. We may be separated, but we’re not isolated.
