Worship Leader, Activist Calls Out Social Media Sites for Censoring Praise, Worship Content

Bethel worship leader turned activist Sean Feucht is calling out social media platforms for censoring his praise and worship related posts.

According to CBN News, Feucht took to Twitter to call out Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for promoting violent content of civil unrest but censoring his non-violent posts about worshipping God.

“While @Facebook @instagram @Twitter promote the content of violence, rioting & destruction, they are actively CENSORING worship, prayer, peaceful protest & anything going against their fear-mongering narrative,” Feucht wrote.

“My feed and many others is (sic) proof. #ChangeTheNarrative,” he asserted.

Feucht went on to post a screenshot that appears to show a notice from Instagram explain that his content had been removed for violating community guidelines. The story, he said, was “from a peaceful worship rally.”

“This is what we come to in America!” Feucht went on to exclaim. “Instagram is now classifying my WORSHIP videos as “harmful or false information”

“Religious Liberty? Freedom of Speech? Big Tech censorship?” he questioned.

On Wednesday, Feucht made a follow-up post on Instagram stating how he was contacted by U.S. Senators and Congressmen who came to his defense.

“They’ve confirmed it’s not just my accounts, but unrest and violence are promoted for clicks while peace and unity are suppressed,” Feucht wrote.

Feucht also argued that “there is a BLATANT AGENDA to silence the voice of the church right now. Plus, it’s a CLEAR VIOLATION of the 1st amendment and it’s been happening for too long. Time to fight back.”

“They CANNOT control the narrative and suppress the TRUTH,” he concluded.

Instagram’s privacy and security center terms state that they intend to “foster a diverse community” in order to be “an authentic and safe place for inspiration and expression.”

Additionally, content related to “credible threats or hate speech,” attacks on private individuals “to degrade or shame them,” blackmailed personal information, and “repeated unwanted messages” is removed.

The musician noted that he has had discussions with staff at Facebook and Instagram. Details on those conversations have yet to be divulged.
