Trump checks into Walter Reed hospital for ‘few days’ after COVID-19 diagnosis:

President Trump on Friday was taken to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, after contracting COVID-19.

Trump is expected to remain at the hospital “for the next few days” in a special presidential suite of rooms, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement.

Trump, 74, wore a mask and gave reporters a thumbs up as he crossed the White House South Lawn to the Marine One helicopter to travel to Walter Reed. He walked without assistance.

Trump was not joined by first lady Melania Trump, 50, who also tested positive for COVID-19 overnight.

“Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days,” McEnany said. —>READ MORE HERE

Trump says he’s ‘doing very well,’ thanks nation for support as he enters hospital

President Trump thanked the nation for supporting him Friday night as he left the White House to be hospitalized for COVID-19.

“I want to thank everybody for the tremendous support. I’m going to Walter Reed Hospital,” Mr. Trump said in a video recorded at the White House. “I think I’m doing very well, but we’re going to make sure that things work out.”
