Trump Campaign Files for Recount in Dane, Milwaukee Counties; Georgia Monitor Catches 9,626-Vote Error in Hand Recount, and related stories
Trump campaign files for recount in Dane, Milwaukee counties:
President Donald Trump’s campaign on Wednesday followed through with its vow to request a recount in Wisconsin but only in the two heavily Democratic counties of Milwaukee and Dane, alleging a host of “irregularities” despite state officials denying any evidence of widespread problems.
Wisconsin Elections Commission administrator Meagan Wolfe said the campaign wired the $3 million needed to cover the cost of the recount in the two counties just before 11 a.m. Wednesday. The campaign had until 5 p.m. to make the request.
“We understand the eyes of the world will be on these Wisconsin counties over the next few weeks,” Wolfe said in a statement. “We remain committed to providing information about the process and assisting our county clerks by providing facts on the mechanics of a recount and status updates.”
The commission planned to meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday to discuss details of the partial recount. Once the chair orders the recount on Thursday, the counties will have 13 days to complete the process.

Georgia Monitor Catches 9,626-Vote Error in Hand Recount:
A recount monitor in Georgia discovered a 9,626-vote error in the hand recount in DeKalb County, according to the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party.
“One of our monitors discovered a 9,626-vote error in the DeKalb County hand count. One batch was labeled 10,707 for Biden and 13 for Trump—an improbable margin even by DeKalb standards. The actual count for the batch was 1,081 for Biden and 13 for Trump,” David Shafer wrote on Twitter on Nov. 18.
“Had this counting error not been discovered, Biden would have gained enough votes from this one batch alone to cancel out Trump’s gains from Fayette, Floyd, and Walton,” Shafer added, referring to the three Peach State counties that discovered memory cards with uncounted votes on Nov. 16 and 17. The discovered votes favored President Donald Trump and cut former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead in the state by more than 1,400 votes. —>READ MORE HERE
