Was A Michigan Man’s Home Attacked With Bombs Because Of His Support Of Trump?
One of the trends that Shoebat.com has continued to emphasize is the growing reality of political violence between right and left and how it could erupt into something much more serious. It is with interest then that a Michigan man’s home is under investigation after it was attacked with bombs by what the homeowner suspects is due to his support of Trump.
A Michigan man says he was possibly targeted due to his political beliefs after at least one explosive was thrown into his home on Saturday morning, according to reports.
The St. Clair Shores homeowner, who wished to stay anonymous, said he and his girlfriend were in an upstairs bedroom at the time of an explosion, which blew out drywall, shattered glass and caused cracks in the ceiling, FOX 2 of Detroit reported.
“We came out and there was a big mess here,” the homeowner said. “Everything was smoking and I got on the phone and called 911 and they showed up pretty quick.”
He added that he heard two loud booms and that neighbors “thought a bomb went off.”
Surveillance video of the incident showed a man running up to his house and throwing an explosive through a front window, according to the station. Another recording captured a man running out of a pick-up truck and throwing a second explosive.
“We were really scared. I mean when you feel your house shake and explode and smoke, you don’t know what’s going on,” the homeowner told Detroit’s WDIV-TV.
When asked why someone would target his home, he suggested it was possibly due to his political beliefs.
“We’re thinking maybe because I’m a big Trump supporter,” the homeowner said, according to FOX 2. “I mean everyone has people that don’t like them … but not to the extent of trying to blow my house up.”
He said he’s offering a $10,000 reward for any information on what happened.
“I mean, it’s worth it to me to find out who’s trying to catch my house on fire and possibly kill me,” the homeowner said, according to the paper. (source)
Hopefully, political violence was not the cause. However, it would not be a surprise if it was the case.
As the rancor between political parties continues to grow and passion for one’s side turns into a modern form of religiosity ready to burn the other side as ‘heretics’, it is likely going to turn into violence. Call it communists versus national socialists, left versus right, or any other term, but there is a distinct divide between the political left and the political right that has been fueled by rhetoric and arguments for decades, and with the generational changes, decline in religious practice, and a desire to force the others to accept ideas the other side does not agree with on a fundamental level, it does not mean peace for the future.
The same warning here applies also to the warning given to the right about Trump. In the case of Trump, Shoebat.com warned that the right-wing rhetoric would eventually be used by the left against the right, and possibly in a more serious tone with more potentially damaging consequences.
Likewise, given the inclinations that the political left has shown to violence, be it through “peaceful protests” that involved burning down businesses, shopping centers, and homes, or the use of mob violence to beat people, and now with a possible- and still yet to be confirmed -case of what looks like a man bombing another person’s home because of political beliefs, it is only a matter of time before people on the political right believe that since they do not see their requests being heeded and continue to be at the mercy of violence by others, that they will also start to resort to organized violence against the left to get what they want.
Hopefully, this attack will be shown to have a cause other than politics. However, if that is not the case, then it is only adding fuel to the current fervor that will likely spark worse violence in the future.
