Pat Robertson: Trump Should ‘Move On’ from Contending Election Results, Should Not Run Again in 2024
Televangelist Pat Robertson, who previously prophesied that Trump would win the 2020 election, is now calling the president to move on after the electoral college initially confirmed the race for Joe Biden.
According to Newsweek, a clip of Robertson’s comments, which was made on Monday’s episode of The 700 Club, trended on Twitter later that afternoon.
“I think it’s all over. I think the Electoral College has spoken,” said Robertson, in a clip that has been viewed over 3 million times.

Earlier this month, Robertson also claimed that divine intervention would take place in overturning the election results after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Texas lawsuit alleging several battleground states conducted voter fraud.
On Monday, however, Robertson felt that it is unlikely that the Supreme Court would consider the latest case made against the key state of Pennsylvania after Biden was declared the winner.
“I don’t think the Supreme Court is going to move in to do anything,” he noted.
Despite commending Trump on doing “a marvelous job for the economy”, Robertson stressed that it was time for the president to move on.
“With all his talent and the ability to raise money and draw large crowds, the president still lives in an alternate reality. He really does,” Robertson argued. “He really does.”
“People say, ‘Well, he lies about this, that, and the other.’ But no, he isn’t lying; to him, that’s the truth,” he continued.
Trump “is very erratic, and he’s fired people and he’s fought people and he’s insulted people and he keeps going down the line, so it’s a mixed bag,” Robertson said. “And I think it would be well to say, ‘You’ve had your day and it’s time to move on.”
Robertson also said that it would be “a mistake” for Trump to run again in 2024 as he favored former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley instead.
“My money would be on Nikki Haley. I think she’d make a tremendous candidate for the Republican Party.” he contended.
On Sunday, the Trump campaign asked the Supreme Court, in a petition, to reverse laws concerning Pennsylvania’s absentee ballot procedures. The petition also claimed that “the State Supreme Court decision violates the Federal Constitution.”
“The petition seeks all appropriate remedies, including vacating the appointment of electors committed to Joseph Biden and allowing the Pennsylvania General Assembly to select their replacements,” the campaign said in a statement.
