Marco Rubio Responds after CNN’s Chris Cuomo Mocks Him, Calls Him ‘Mr. Bible Boy’
Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has responded after CNN host Chris Cuomo mocked his Christian faith on Monday, calling him “Mr. Bible Boy.”
According to Fox News, on Monday, Cuomo and fellow host Don Lemon addressed the recent leaked phone call between President Trump with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger where Trump insisted that he won the state of Georgia instead of Joe Biden in the 2020 Presidential election, and argued that a reversal of the results should be made.

Lemon commended Raffensperger as a “man of faith” after he told Trump that he was wrong about his claims.
“I learned about it tonight as I was watching CNN, he is a man of faith and he’s relying on his faith and that’s why he could sit there and, just, very stoically say, ‘I’m sorry Mr. President, you’re wrong’,” Lemon said.
Meanwhile, Cuomo noted, in the call that was obtained and released by The Washington Post, that Trump was going from “desperation to desperation.”
“He never offers one legitimate piece of proof for this secretary of state to act on,” he added, insisting the Trump kept getting “more and more threatening” as the phone call went on.
“I think you nail what we have to focus on also,” he told Lemon, “Look, Trump, I believe, will be remembered as the worst. We’ve never seen anybody abuse the office the way he has — not in our lifetime. But the people, those who remain, the Kevin McCarthys, the people in the House, the people in the Senate,” Cuomo said.
“The man he called Lyin’ Ted, the man he called Little Marco … Mr. Bible Boy,” Cuomo mocked. “You know, he’s got a Bible quote for every moment, he just never speaks truth to power or acts on any of it in the interest of his own state or of this country,” Cuomo said of Senator Rubio.
On Tuesday, Sen. Rubio responded to Cuomo, explaining why he regularly posts Bible verses on his Twitter account.
“The verses I tweet are usually the ones chosen by the Catholic Church for that days mass”, Rubio explained. “But the fact he thinks words written thousands of years ago are relevant to current events proves the Bible isn’t just a book, it’s the word of God. AMEN.”
