Tim Tebow Releases Children’s Book in Hopes to Share Christ with Kids

Tim Tebow is known for his athletic abilities and acting chops. He is not, however, known for writing children’s books. Until now. In a recent interview with Christian Headlines, Tebow shared that his decision to write a children’s book stemmed from his desire to share Christ with children.

Tebow made it clear that he has a deep desire for all people, but especially children, to understand that they have been given a purpose by God. Tebow recalled learning this lesson as a young boy, himself. As a child, he shared that his mother would read to him at night. “Every night my mother would read to me stories that would inspire me to live for God.” This is exactly what Tebow wants kids to feel when they read Bronco and Friends.

The story of Bronco and Friends centers on Tebow’s dog, Bronco. Bronco’s main goal throughout the story is to point kids to their purpose and design in life. At the same time, the story encourages children to understand and deal with their uniqueness. This uniqueness may manifest as typical issues that kids deal with or special needs that they may have. Tebow is personally committed to empowering children with special needs kids to understand the community better.

Tebow has long served the special needs community, he even runs an annual program entitled A Night to Shine, where young people with special needs dress up for a night of fun and fellowship.

“This year’s Night to Shine encountered new challenges due to COVID-19, but we knew that we couldn’t cancel the event,” Tebow shared. This year’s Night to Shine was designed to accommodate COVID-19 restrictions.

When asked what he has learned through the COVID-19 season, Tebow does not skip a beat. He communicated that although the season has been difficult for the nation, God has taught him some valuable lessons.

“COVID didn’t take God by surprise. I’ve learned that people have huge hearts to help people in need, with big and small needs,” Tebow shared. He asserted that he has personally enjoyed seeing the best of people rise. “People- in so many ways-have stepped up and allowed God to use them and their gifts.”

Tebow believes that we can and should be faithful to God no matter the season.

“We can and should be faithful to God and live out the purpose that He has designed,” the former NFL Quarterback shared.

“I’m grateful that God allows me to be on His team, not because of me but because of Him,” he added.
