Looks Like Migrant Is Back On The Menu, Boys
In the “Lord of the Rings” film trilogy, two of the protagonists, Merry and Pippin, are captured by an orc army. While in their captivity, the army becomes hungry and threatens to eat them. The orc commander tells the other orcs that they are not to be eaten, but brought intact to one of the evil wizards because he (mistakenly) believes they are in possession of the One Ring, which Frodo Baggins is carrying to Mordor. A fight ensues, and one of the orcs is killed. The commander responds “looks like meat is back on the menu, boys”, at which time to other orcs cannibalize their deceased comrade and Merry and Pippin use the chaos to escape.
I note this because back in March 2019, I commented on how Tennessee representative Marsha Blackburn’s advertisement for her campaign, saying that “migrants” were a threat because they may include anybody from criminals to “people from the Middle East” was as wrong as it was ridiculous. However, to quote the Lord of the Rings, but paraphrased, it “looks like migrant is back on the menu, boys”, as now suddenly as Biden’s inauguration approaches, another “caravan” of “migrants” is coming, and is supposedly making demands.
With President Donald Trump leaving office (we guess) and Joe Biden getting ready to move in (until Harris takes over), a huge migrant caravan is already on its way here and expected/demanding cooperation from Biden like he PROMISED.
“We recognize the importance of the incoming Government of the United States having shown a strong commitment to migrants and asylum seekers, which presents an opportunity for the governments of Mexico and Central America to develop policies and a migration management that respect and promote the human rights of the population in mobility,” a statement from a migrant rights group said on behalf of the caravan. ” We will advocate that the Biden government honors its commitments.”
Here’s more from the Daily Mail.
As many as 3,000 Hondurans set off on foot Thursday for the Guatemalan border in hopes of reaching the United States, setting up a possible test of the incoming Biden administration’s immigration policies just as a tough-on-migrants Donald Trump is set to leave office.
The people in the caravan likely are hoping to take advantage of what Biden has promised will be a more ‘humane’ approach to immigration, but officials from countries along their route to the US say they’ll be stopped before they reach America by governments – including Mexico’s – that have stepped up efforts to halt the caravan. How co-incidental. It reminds one of the migrant crisis, which just happened to appear at a politically sensitive time leading up to the return of nationalism in Europe and its rise in the Americas.
This is what is so interesting about this “caravan”. They have been coming for years, and now this one matters?
There seems to be a lot more here than what it just appears at the surface, and before decrying ‘the migrants’, not only are many of these people fleeing very serious violence in their homelands, but that the timing is too perfect given the circumstances.
