Trump In Talks with People about Creating Own Social Media Platform, Says Twitter Has Become ‘Very Boring’

On Wednesday, during a call-in interview on NewsMax’s Greg Kelly Reports former President Donald Trump shared that he is seriously considering creating his own social media platform after being permanently banned from Twitter last month.

According to The Blaze, Trump addressed his permanent Twitter ban, asserting that he wouldn’t go back to the platform, even if the ban was lifted.

“They wanted me very much on Parler,” he told host Greg Kelly. “You know they had a phony report that the man who was there didn’t, I mean just the opposite. They really wanted me at Parler.”

Trump, however, explained that Parler would not be able to handle having him on the platform due to the large number of people he suspects would follow him.

“You know I had 89 million [Twitter followers] but that was because they held it back, and on top of that I had 36 million or 39 million on @POTUS, and we had other sites where we had millions and millions of people,” Trump said of his personal and Presidential Twitter accounts.

“So we have, I guess, about as big as it gets and likewise on Facebook, and they all want that. And part of the problem is, mechanically they can’t handle it, because it’s too many people, it’s bigger than they are by many times,” he continued.

The former President said that Twitter has become “very boring” and that millions are leaving it because “it’s not the same” due to increasing censorship.

“But it’s become very boring, we don’t want to go back to Twitter,” Trump contended.

Trump also noted that the social media giant was employing a double standard by flagging his posts but not posts from foreign accounts “saying the worst things possible.”

At the present time, Trump explained that he is negotiating with “a number of people” in hopes of creating a social media platform on his own.

“We’re negotiating with a number of people, and there’s also the other option of building your own site. I mean you can literally build your own site,” he said.
