Former Secretary of State John Kerry Denies Leaking Secret Information about Israeli Airstrikes to Iran
Former Secretary of State John Kerry is denying reports that he gave “hundreds” of leaked secrets to Mohammad Javad Zarif, the foreign minister of Iran, despite Zarif saying so in a recently leaked tape reported on by the New York Times.
Some of these secrets reportedly included top-secret information about Israel conducting airstrikes on Syria.
Kerry, who is currently serving as President Biden’s envoy on climate, has officially denied the claims in the tape.
In a Twitter statement issued Monday evening, Kerry tried to defend himself, stating, “I can tell you that this story and these allegations are unequivocally false. This never happened – either when I was Secretary of State or since.” But for many, the response rings hollow, especially for journalists who have written on Kerry in the past.
One such journalist is Jack Posobiec, who replied to Kerry’s post writing, “Remember when you lied about meeting Iran and then I posted photos?
Mike Cernovich, the investigative journalist responsible for unsealing the court documents that helped reveal Jeffrey Epstein’s horrific criminal activity and abuse of minors, also chimed in, telling Kerry, “It’s on tape.”

Others, however, shared that they trust Kerry and believe he’s telling the truth.
Many GOP politicians, though, are voicing concerns about Kerry. The Jerusalem Post reports that Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) asserted that “People are talking about treason – and I don’t throw that word around a lot. John Kerry does all kinds of things that I can’t stand. But this is the one that broke the camel’s back.” Additionally, they report that House Representative Mike Gallagher (R-WI) stated it was “unfathomable” that Kerry would leak so much intel to the “world’s leading sponsor of terrorism.”
The State Department has reportedly not verified the content of the tape. However, they have also refrained from commenting on the tape beyond acknowledging its existence.
