Sadie Robertson Huff’s Book Life Just Got Real to Be Turned into TV Series
According to Deadline, Sadie Robertson Huff’s book Life Just Got Real will be turned into a TV series by the same name.
The series will explore the lives of two high school girls, both from vastly different worlds, who attend a reality TV show only to discover that life can be complicated, dating can be rough, and second chances don’t come around every day.
The show will be Robertson Huff’s first as a producer. Robertson Huff, who rose to fame by starring in her family’s reality TV show Duck Dynasty but has since made a name for herself as a Christian motivational speaker, will perform as a guest on the show.
Robertson Huff revealed on Instagram that she had signed a contract with producer Brad Krevoy to adapt her novel Life Just Got Real into a scripted series. “I really can’t believe my fiction book is about to come to life as a scripted series! feeling incredibly grateful,” Robertson Huff wrote in an Instagram. “As always ALL glory to God and I pray God would use this show as another way to encourage people in their everyday life and bring family and friends together.”
The show is being developed by Alfonso H. Moreno, with Amanda Phillips and Krevoy’s MPCA planning to executive produce. Dione Sheehan presented the deal, which was negotiated by Eric Jarboe, Reuben Liber, and UTA.
Krevoy is known as one of the major producers for the Hallmark Channel, producing eight seasons of the channel’s highest-rated cable series When Calls the Heart as well as countless movies for both the Hallmark Channel and Netflix – including A Christmas Prince (Rose McIver, Ben Lamb), The Princess Switch (Vanessa Hudgens), Holiday in the Wild(Rob Lowe, Kristin Davis) and Operation Christmas Drop (Kat Graham, Alexa Chung).
Krevoy said of collaborating on the project: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Sadie. Her energy and vision are one-of-a-kind, and we have no doubt that this show will be a huge success. There is a tremendous audience that is hungry for Sadie’s special brand of family entertainment – and we’re proud to be the ones delivering this content.”
