‘Joe Biden Is Destroying Our Nation,’ Trump Says during First Post-White House Rally
During his first post-White House rally on Saturday in Wellington, Ohio, former President Donald Trump denounced President Joe Biden, calling his first few months in office a failure.
“After just five months, the Biden administration is a catastrophe. I told you,” Trump said while on stage at the rally.
According to Breitbart, he highlighted the surge in crime and immigration as part of a long list of Biden’s failures.
“Crime is surging, murders are soaring, police departments are being gutted, illegal aliens are overrunning their borders, nobody has ever seen anything like it,” he said.
Trump went on to argue that Biden is ruining the country and its economy.
“We set Biden up so beautifully, all he had to do was ‘Go to the beach, Joe. Go to the beach,'” Trump jokingly said. “Instead, Biden is going to drive our economy and our country into ruin.”
Trump also criticized Biden’s foreign and energy policies, including Biden’s cancellation of the Keystone pipeline while approving a gas pipeline between Europe and Russia.
“Gas prices are spoking, inflation is skyrocketing, and China, Russia, and Iran are humiliating our country,” he said.
The former president also decried Biden for rejoining the Paris Agreement, which would cause “trillions of dollars of damage” to the American economy.
Trump continued his criticism of the 46th president’s plans to increase taxes and spend trillions.
“Joe Biden is destroying our nation right before our very eyes,” he contended. “He puts America last, we put America first. It’s very, very simple.”
Trump plans to visit the southern border on June 30th with Texas Gov. Greg Abbot. During Saturday’s rally, Trump also criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, contending that she only visited the Lonestar state last week because he is going to the border at the end of June.
“Kamala Harris, your vice president, only went to the border yesterday for the one simple reason that I announced that I was going,” Trump said. “If I didn’t do that, I don’t know if she was ever going to go.”
